After a couple of excruciating painful nights, a cat scan showed a 3mm stone in my ureter. Doctor said to drink gallons of water and hopefully it will pass (along with taking some feel good pills, which don't feel so good when in pain). If not, he'll have to go "in" and then place a stent. which would preclude me traveling to the Smokies next week. I'm going to buy a few more shares of Poland Spring and get to work (drinking). I've heard all the wive's tales on how to prevent/get rid of these things, bottom line the science is inconclusive. Bottoms up!
I DON'T Want to be Stoned in Maggie Valley!!

Best of luck with that rock.
As for stoned in Maggie Valley... Why not??

Painful...good luck. Seems like beer would work as well as water and dull the pain a bit. Hope you make it to MV.

After reading other peoples experiences with kidney stones I was actually glad my pain was a bulged disk pressing on a nerve. It still sucks and hurt all the way into my (well u know) but it went away with lots of steroids...
Sorry to hear about your situation......

The Maggie Valley Police, like most law enforcement agencies, get to see their fair share. They see it come into town from all over, in different forms, from all walks of life. And like most law enforcement agencies, they believe that it should not be used by the general public, but should be left to the professionals. Remember, if the Maggie Valley LEO are happy, we as a group will have a good time.

A stent shouldn't prevent you from doing anything. It is uncomfortable but does not limit any activities EXCEPT 1.
