That's a typical Maggie Valley weather pattern forecast. Partly cloudy could mean rain, showers could mean clear skies and great riding weather. Don't bother looking at that unless it calls for a hurricane or floods

Yeah, either way I'm going. Got extra clothes in a ziplock bag in the storage just in case.

Updated and as predicted we have entered an ENSO condition that will continue until August/September. The La Nina advisory has been lifted. Historically this shifts storms away from the Southern US so we will see if that holds.

They still have hurricanes on the Gulf ??? 😂😂. First year in a LONG time I haven’t started sweating hurricanes about now. You should be safe though - now that I moved away you guys will probably never have another one 🥺

The worse forecast we ever had for Maggie turned out to be the best week we had ever had for riding.

10 percent chance of rain today - been raining all morning
-
When they say 10% chance of rain it means that 10% of the forecast area has a chance to get rain.

We get this today

Interesting lighting strike indicator. Have never seen that. Great feature!
-
Sun is shining - couldn’t ask for a better day!! Lot better than that sauna in Louisiana
-
@Frankie55 the lighting strike feature used to work very well then they replaced it with a addon plugin module. The new plugin is to sensitive and is picking up false strikes. They use a unused AM radio frequency that give static during a strike. We have all heard that back in the days before FM radio. If I look a my monthly graft it shows the strikes happening everyday about the same time. It is a nice feature when it is storming and it tells you how far away the strike is.

I always thought that the chance of rain, snow, sun, hurricanes etc were 50% You either get it or you don't - there is no other choice is there?
