I believe there is no helmet law for the SS in NC. Someone check me out.... I think they just did away with that law... And in TN there is no law that holds up.....
Me thinks, you had better wear a helmet or it will cost you some money.
I can tell you for a fact that the SS is not classified as an Autocycle in NC for reason being it has no air bags. Bottom line, helmets are required. However, no seat belt is required if you can stand the seat belt light staying on.
Seat belt light does not bother me, do not have to wear seat belt in S. C. either in the SlingShot. Never wear one in the car either, just loop it over the door handle as long as it is pulled forward no tickets.

with all the hydroplane talk and other accidents I am considering a 4 point harness.

How many people were killed during that same time frame that were wearing a seat belt? I cannot believe how far this has gone people are now wearing helmets to ride a damn bicycle, the next thing you will be wearing a rubber suit to keep from getting a bruise and then you you will die of dehydration because your body cannot breath.
I wish my bride would smack me upside my head. Every since I installed a turbo it has created terrible physical pain that I cannot foresee any near future cure
