That's is the problem. I had an exhaust shop do some work on the exhaust about 6 months ago and when I took it apart there was not a gasket.
I know where those Alpha boxes were headed!

So @rabtech, when are you gonna put the Hahn turbo back in?
I think he is ignoring you Cam, Once you go Alpha, you never go back!

It was a nasty comment anyway.

I think I may head to the dyno at DDM Works tomorrow. I have the SS all ready to roll with its new turbo, new headlights, new halo lights, and new G2 555 Nitto tire.
It's about a 5 hour drive to get to DDMWorks so if I leave out around 2am Saturday morning I will be there just in time to start a fun Saturday. They have a electric boost solenoid in stock so I will probably switch out all my heavy springs in my wastegate and just put the small 4psi spring in. And then let my AEM gauge do its job by controlling the wastegate thru the solenoid.
Also makes it super easy to add and take away boost.....
And yes, I'm ignoring Cameron Roberts.
I haven't put this turbo to the true test yet. I have discovered that it pulls a lot harder around 120mph than my Hahn. I know that doesn't interest many people but it has me intrigued. I will have to get up on my private raceway one night and let this thing eat some pavement. I have high expectations for it.. From my initial run ups it does seem that the headers are allowing me to have more top end for sure...

Interesting trip you have planned. We will all be excited for those dyno numbers.

It should turn some very high numbers. I will have the boost turned up to the very edge of what the fuel pump can handle.
I think that it will be interesting to see how FAST this system gets to the redline... I beleive that is what is going to surprise people..
He has my other dyno graphs in his system so he can overlay the runs and show the time graph.

I just checked the box and the exhaust. There is not a gasket to be seen. Both surfaces are machined flat, I'll give it a try. If someone has a picture of what the gasket looks like could they post it just in case it does not seal.
If needed I can probably source one from NAPA.
Thank youNo picture, but the gasket I believe is a thin copper with a dimpled ring. I am sure @Turbosling would get one on the way.

@rabtech, Are these the tractor lights you purchased?

Wattage and design look correct. Also, you mentioned getting an electronic boost solenoid so your AEM gauge can control boost pressure. I know this is from the dark side, but there is a thread over there where some guys are trying to set up an Innovate gauge to do the same thing and some comments have been made about such an approach not being good for an engine. I've ordered a Hahn Turbo and have been considering the same Innovate gauge for controlling boost and would appreciate any comment you mgiht have on the subject. Here's the dark side link - Help programming boost controller... | Polaris Slingshot Forum
Many thanks, if you can bring yourself to take another look there.Lastly, I think the shiny diamond plate draws too much attention and would look better if painted black. I also agree that the ring placed behind the plastic would provide reinforcement for the plastic.

You have our side exit? IS that the gasket you are missing?

Yea. I did a little more studying. What I'm going to do is leave my green and yellow springs in the wastegate. Then hook up the solenoid to cut out at 17psi. This will drop it back to 13.7 Psi. So it won't be such a dramatic drop. I honestly don't think that I'm going to get over 16 psi out of this turbo. But we shall see. -

yes. That is them.
They couldn't be used when meeting cars. But they could be wired to come on with you high beams.

Had to show off the satin finish. Its still holding up pretty good.. PPG Flex and Flat clear is some good stuff.

You would think @Turbosling would drop a few different size black Alpha stickers in the mail...
-
That is one mean looking oreo!
Agree, black Alpha stickers would be a nice touch... Perhaps a pair of Slinglenz too?? Make the halos reflect more (and perhaps protect them from yellowing again?)...?

I would imagine your wait won't be long...

Maybe notHe said he only had white stickers. So maybe he has some black ones being made...
Be awesome if he could make something that said "FORCED INDUCTION BY ALPHA" or something like that on one line.
It would need to go on the hood under the DDM stickers. I think it would compliment them and would kick ass.

How about one that just says TURBO ENCABULATOR
