Beautiful day high 75. Great riding down to beach with leather jacket. Checked my mpg since I upgraded to the 100m pulley on my supercharger. Miles divided by gallons to fill up 32.3 after driving 274 miles. Unbelievable!
BTW The Doobie Brothers concert was way over and above anything we expected. It was a little geriatric from an audience standpoint but the 5000+ packed auditorium was rockin’ and their performance was top notch and lacked nothing. Seeing Michael McDonald with them as well was kind of cool.
I told my wife it was like we were at a Doobie Brothers concert in the 1970s somebody snapped their fingers and this is what we look like 50 years later🤪
Well today was an interesting day in that I was solo. My lovely wife had to return home to take care of her mom after surgery. Getting in the SS SOLO or two up is always enjoyable. Went through the mountains down to Dana point had some lunch and back!😎
Sorry, no Sling pictures, but just over to a lake for a morning walk. Crisp this morning at 45degrees and the glimmer off the water reminded me of my youth and the Hamm's Beer commercials.... From the Land of Sky Blue Waters.....
Went to the Riders4Life Slingshot Reunion in Baton Rouge over the memorial day weekend. Visited LSU and Mike the Tiger, then N'awlins. Got to park on Bourbon Street right outside the Spirits on Bourbon bar (this was one of John Taffer's Bar Rescues).
Maggie Valley and surrounding areas

Looks like they got a lot of the watermarks off the walls in that part of town. Last time I was in the N’awlins you can see the water level and the devastation that it brought
Beautiful day in San Clemente!
Well, I did just over six bills today on the way from Denver to Flagstaff Arizona. It was a different kind of day because it was 37° in the mountains and 101° near the Grand Canyon.
Part of my little get away for a "minute". I can honestly say, I never expected to spend 50$ to fill up my Slingshot. I went to Sedona to do some hiking and a bunch of the places I wanted to go to were being closed at 11am for excessive heat... Before 11am almost everywhere was parking lot full, camp ground full, so many people.... Anyways... very good little ride of 1575 miles. The Slingshot ran great, even at 80 miles per hour in 102 degree temps.... My best mpg was 34 and the overall mpg for the trip was 33.
Had to ride something else for a bit....
How the Grand Canyon looked...
How I wish it looked...
The desert is so beautiful... if we just take a moment to look around..
And I thought this was a strange place to put this sign at a National Park..
billythekidd it’s looking more and more like you and I are two peas in a pod! Great pictures and an envious trip! I am hopeful that this sign covers all 50 states!!

SoCal, when I see your pictures I always want to get out and ride more. I see your coast and desert pics and want to be there..... Thanks for always sharing...

My 1st thought was that this is some kind of echo canyon and that sign was a tongue in cheek announcement. Otherwise it's a bit confooosing.
Bought some raffle tickets for a 1951 Studebaker Champion supporting the 1st responders in our county. May have to sell it to SlingLow is I win.
I don't know EJ. That would make for a pretty pimp salesman vehicle. But, if you don't want it.....
(so, what are our your chances?)

No, this is near the entrance to the Visitor Center just off to the side... I guess they are providing a place for people or groups to exercise that right without supposedly irritating anyone or something.
Honestly, when I was there this time there were so many people from other countries that I almost didn't hear any English... it was weird.
@EjFordj My first Car was 1951 Studebaker Commander V8 Automatic Green. I have kicked myself many times for Trading it for a1954 Ford.
For a second there, I thought I'd have a shot of owning an original 92K mile Slingshot from one of the O G's of the site until I read the text. I was this close to owning a Slingshot if I won (or so I thought)
