I may have found one finally! But...I need to know how wide of a trailer do I need to get a Slingshot home? Normally I would just fly down and drive back, but It's a trade for one of my toys so I am just going to trailer round trip.
How wide of a trailer do I need to trailer the slingshot?

Check your front wheels, but generally 80+" between the trailer fenders. That generally means a 8.5' wide trailer.

Sweet! Welcome back Grant! What are you giving up? Just curious.

Assuming all goes well, my Ryker 900 goes to a new home. Fingers crossed. Communication with this person has been something special.

Wait seriously?!?! I knew it was wide, but I haven't seen many trailers that wide to rent around me.

83 inches with stock wheels
-
7' wide will do it.
I have a 6.5 wide and the stock wheels will squeak onto it.

69.1 in (1,755 mm)This is what was messing with me. If the wheels are at 69" and the Width of the vehicle is 78"...that is a substantial difference on a trailer. Also I think that 78" is wrong. I remember measuring my first one and I could have sworn it was 81".

I have and use a 7 x 14 ft open dual axel to trailer to Florida in the winter. Works great with the Polaris Trailering Cover.
That's a 6ft tail gate and than I added some 2.5 in x 3 ft long ramps so not as to bottom out loading and my Slingshot is all "OEM" sizes. -
I just measured Sling II at 78 1/2 inches with the stock wheels and tires. Is that close enough for everyone

I think mine is 78 3/8 rubbed a little of the edges loading and unloading for the Florida trip.

My 1st Gen SlingThing is 83" inside left to right. My aftermarket wheels and tires added just over 1" to width. I have only 1" on each side to clear, which is enough. Pull in straight and keep the 1" on the driver's side knowing the passenger side is the same. The 2nd Gen SlingThing added 1", and that's huge when this close. So, stock should be just under 80"....
That said, I bought a trailer off Painter (loved by all that have met him!) and his stock Standard would fit on it. My stock SL at the time, would not. It was close to an inch wider than the Standard wheels were in the front. -
Good to hear from you Goats_Hogs / Brent! You probably know I'm flying out to La Porte next week to meet up with Bu11sh1t , EjFord , JoeB, Painter SlingRider , scootertrash ,, and others for the trip down to Huntsville where Sara and I met you, Sharon and so many others at the 1st Homecoming. I understand that you (and DER ?) have other plans that week and wish you the best! Wish you were coming. I ended up putting the General VMax that you showed me on your Sling on the rear of mine and am still running it. It has just over 8,600 miles on it, which is what I got out of the Kenda, and it's still close to 50% left. Of course, I'm not boosted, nor is my Sling.
Keep the sunny side up, Brother!

Wish we could be there, and spend time with y'all! Labor day weekend has been set aside for 6 years now. Special things, with very special people! Next homecoming should not interfere as I understand it, see how it plays out. I'm 3 years from retirement if all goes well, so if I am above ground and you are, that should open up some opportunities! I look forward to some time spent with you and Sara!

May have been all for nothing...the guy has ghosted me the last week, so the search continues.
