Wife and daughter both have the same gun but the stock is Teal.... They love the guns..
Every year I grab another Desert Eagle. Already have the largest, so I went with the smallest this time.
Guns always like new company.
Magnum Research is great! Love their stuff and they are about 10 min away from my hometown in MN.

Hey Travis, check out this “little” baby of mine - it’s a Magnum Research BFR in .30-30! The BFR is supposed to stand for Biggest Finest Revolver but I have another adjective I use for the ‘F’...
This beast is awesome. 5 rounds, single action, 10” barrel:

I may know of that model! The BFRs are great!
This is my favorite model. Very versatile.

For .45LC/.410 combos, I’m using these:
Depends on the mood and the day we have planned--which will normally dictate what the CCW is for the day. Glock, Springfield, S&W, SIG and a few other close friends are always nice to have within arms reach! Weekend before last we picked up a few more "keep them honest" firearms lol The new Gen 5's, SIG, Beretta .22 for the daughter and a pair of TAC14's followed me home!!
Home defense firearms are normally a 5+ shotgun that's semi-automatic to clear the window of an unwanted guest, or perhaps one trying to make their way up a hallway.
Palmetto State Armory has the Mossberg 590 Shockwave (we'd like a pair to match up with the TAC14's) on sale but we're trying to patiently wait to get them locally to avoid transfer fees. We like these and the TAC's for their size, lower recoil and ability to keep convenient for self defense. Downside, I guess would be capacity and remembering that you'd better not try to shoulder or put close to your face!
Ammo...we love ammo LOL CCI as many mentioned is awesome for .22LR. The speed, accuracy and rare firing issues making it a great ammo for plinking. We tend to stay away from steel or aluminum case ammo and stay strictly with brass. With Kimber we definitely purchase the more expensive ammo as recommended.
I generally will carry some type of 9mm unless it's an XDS45! The wife will carry a .380 and 9mm or .380 and 45.
Now, with HiPoint... They have become more reliable but they are still fighting a horrible reputation that they rightfully earned by flooding the market with crappy firearms. Their firearms are ugly and leaves you not desiring a second date lol On the upside any bullet that makes it out of the barrel has the ability to stop a bad guy.
I love the BFR's and Desert Eagles but the wife hates firing them...they are a one shot and done for her. It's like her at the range with the shotguns--maybe 20 shots and that's it!
Was over at a friend’s house this afternoon & was given one helluva nice gently used gift! A 4X night vision (NV) monocular, including case (with belt loop) & original manual. I just had to install a fresh CR123A, added a wrist strap (also made up a neck lanyard). Been out playing with it tonight (well, the NV too! ) & it works great! Excellent clarity & the infrared illuminator gets ‘er done where it’s really dark. This unit came out about 4 years ago or so & still sells new in the $213 to $256 range even now. Was surprised at how well it works for being a Generation 1 device. It is Russian made but distributed out of El Paso TX which is right down the road.
Very cool Larry! And gently used! Win-Win!

I figured out why assault weapons are tryin to be banned
@Bubblehead, how do you find the Sccys? I've never had a chance to fire one but have often contemplated purchasing because of the price point @ Academy and other sellers.
@Bill Martin, I've seen that posted on so many firearm forums now I just gloss over it. A couple of years ago when everyone thought there was going to be a ban, I jokingly replied to one...several members reported me having my account suspended for a couple of days LOL I found out, that joke could only go one way lol. Of course the wife thought she made me delete my response *sigh* lol I only did it because umm..well, you know why lol
Right now empty, celebrated my youngest birthday turning 18 so we enjoyed 400 rounds of my beloved 9mm 25 year old Sig 239.

Both the wife and I like ours, inexpensive and have not had any miss fire problems, trust me if someone is attacking you it doesn't matter if it's a Glock , Bersa or SCCY, they all kill but I like the price range of the SCCY better, they just came out with a 380 version.
