Wanted to start a thread so I can post stuff along the way. My 13 year old son and I are embarking on an adventure to see Henry at alpha for a turbo. Total suprise to him just told him he's still in shock. I've been planning for months but didn't want to tell him untIl it was closer so he could concentrate on school. He's pretty stoked he shows me slingshot videos all the time. Hey dad check out this v8 slingshot lol. Little does he know he may just be able to touch that very sling. Right now I'm trying to figure out which way I want to go. And come home. Should probably tag Henry so he can follow along @Turbosling
My trip to Alpha Powersport EH!

Well, if you're leaving today, you better head to Maggie Valley NC. That's where Henry will be for the next 8 days. I'm sure he'd do the install there for you. Congrats on making the decision to get boosted.

Although this route is 4 hours longer it goes thru Sturgis and is close to Mount Rushmore. Both are on my bucket list. 26 years ago I decided that's where my vacation would be go to Sturgis bike rally. Two weeks off, packed up the bike got her all ready to go. I wanted to leave early in the morning. So I thought I would go grab some gas so I could just wake up and go. On the way back from the gas station a lady who "didn't see me " wrecked me and my bike. Spent the whole two weeks layed up dream dashed. So I guess you could say I have unfinished business there. Might not be a rally but to visit there would be fun me thinks. Maybe we will come back that way.

Sturgis, Mt. Rushmore, and Deadwood are worth the extra time. Other than shoulder to shoulder people, you won't be missing much by not being there for bike week. Especially with a 13 year old.

This is exactly what I was thinking.

Might as well hit Yellowstone while your close, its a full day adventure and also have to see the Badlands.

I keep telling him that he should take his time, and enjoy the sights. The RV park will be just fine for a couple weeks!
-
Picked up a couple seat cushions with a heater is case it gets cold at least we will have a warm butt. Has 8 massage motors may just use them too they were 120 bucks on sale for 40 seems reasonable. Yep @Tripod you heard it right 8 vibrators with varying different intensities. All the way from I miss my wife to who needs a wife lol.
Until I can afford the prp's with heaters this will have to do. Didn't like the hard plastic back support. Turns out its removable much better without. Plan to just tuck them behind the seats when not needed. -
LOL! You'll NEVER get your wife out of the Slingshot now!

Get it in the works for next year. Might as well do it while your young. My wife and I are planning on going next year. Those heated cushions are nice. I had a pair no vibrate feature though. Safe journey!

You and your son will be riding in comfort @Slingshot Garage . Have an awesome trip.
-
Have a safe trip! Be careful first few 100 miles while you get used to your new found power once installed

The story of @Slingshot Garage & @SundreSlingQueen in one simple meme:
-
@Slingshot Garage, @Jdin is not kidding. No kidding, take it for a few miles and get used to the new power. Get it out of your system. They're wicked when boosted and getting used to the power curve without spinning the rear takes a little time. Key statement was "get it outta your system"

Will require a bunch more finesse I'm sure. I was kinda worried my tire may not make it home thru the learning curve. Gotta keep the spinning to a minimum. Or grab a brand new one while I'm there. Starting to get excited. Thanks
