Hey @Bill Martin if you leave it on the floor better watch out for snakes or now I saw alligators
I can deal with big lizards - snakes make me run and squeal like a little girl

LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT!!!!!! Now that I know where you all live...go ahead and leave it outside...I'll keep an eye on it for ya'!!!!
Seriously, that is a beautiful addition to your already beautiful home! Now that I have OFFICIALLY put the Supercharger on hold, I'll have a little extra money for...umm...let's see...a portable lift!!! I'll just tell Velma that Bill said I needed one!!!!!!! You got my back, right????? -
Not to thread jack but has anyone looked at this one at all? Its pricey for sure but I liked that it was really low profile, flexible in application, and didn't have to deal with hydraulic lines.
EZ CAR LIFT - FREE-STANDING USE-ANYWHERE CAR LIFT! FAST. SAFE. STRONG.EASY.
I was thinking about getting one but haven't pulled the trigger yet.

@Bill Martin, I know these guys sell via Amazon, so I suspect they'd give at least the same discount as they pay to Amazon for sales, maybe more.I wonder how many units they'll require before certifying as a "Group Buy." Perhaps even a sliding scale, such as 2-5 units = 10%, 6-10 = 15%, 11+ = 20%. I'm just making up numbers for illustration, nobody take this as a discount offer. Oh, and your mileage may vary.
If the price is right, i have been looking for one of these ever since i saw Macaw's one, Rabtech found me one like his locally but once i saw it figured out that it was too much of a hunk of metal to move around as i would need/want.

They are great little lifts, makes everything much easier..something y'all may think about and check into is they are available in 12vdc or 120vac. I got the 12vdc so I could load a battery jump pack and use where ever I go if necessary. In the shop I use just a basic 120vac to 12vdc power pack.
-
then...
That sounds good to me. I'm getting one, 5000 or 7000, still figuring it out.
@KZ1, are you definitely in? Anyone else willing to go in on a group buy?

If you can work up a deal where they'll give you one free for every 20 that sells, call me when you have the 20th sold, so I can get in the group. lol

I looked at this one - the collapsed height is 4.5 inches which may be tight getting it underneath - the Quick Jack is 3" collapsed

i like the way you think!!!!!!!
-
Car ramps are cheaper, but then again, I don't know "Jack"
-
I would be in for a group buy. 5000# I think. I like the 12 volt idea to converter. I wonder if you lose anything by doing that from 110?
-
Thanks for thinking of me @sideseatdriver...
@funinthesun... Great idea! Call me when 40 comes around...

I'm with @Spudinator, I think 5000 is adequate for my needs, and sits just a tad lower than the 7k.
-
I think I count 4 wanting to buy now - if we get 1 more I'll call and see what I can do.
@Spudinator 5000 lb
@Neosolidus 5000 lb
@Deputy5211 5000 lb
@KZ1 7000 lb
@Cameron Roberts 5000 lb
@Live-a-Little! 5000 lb
@mniron 5000l lb
I will give this a couple days to give everybody a chance to get in then call em - they may laugh in my face but it sure doesn't hurt to try!! -
To be honest 5 orders is not a high enough number to get a good deal on it, is a jack that i will use 3 times a year so I refuse to pay retail price for it.
Once again if the price is right i want the BL-5000SLX one.
Here are two little tips i found while going through the FAQ that i thought were good to know when making a choice on power which indicate that 12v is the way to go
Difference between speeds on AC/DC power unit?
AC unit (new design) time to full rise: 31 seconds
Standard DC unit time to full rise: 18 secondsWhat's the best power supply to use with the 12-Volt DC Hydraulic Power Unit?
With the 12-Volt DC Hydraulic Power Unit, it can be powered by a Car Battery, Portable 12-Volt Power Pack or Mini Car Jump Starter.

We are talking the infamous @Bill Martin doing the negotiations. I would put money on it.

You have a point.

I'm wondering how you reached that conclusion. You may be right, but why give up before asking?Like Nonna used to say, "you don't get any cookies if you don't ask."
Good info on the lifting speed difference between AC & DC units. Thanks for doing the legwork.
