Anyone ever rent a trailer for their Slingshot? Uhaul and Penske are out, there's no Sunbelt nearby with a trailer big enough, and I'm looking into United. Anyone have any luck with other companies?

Hey brother you gonna join us in Murphy NC?
Last good weekend ride need to get the crew together - those mugs hold hot drinks as well! -
Not able to get off from work on Friday, so planning on trailering down Friday evening if I can find a trailer. Headed to New Orleans for a week at Thanksgiving to visit my Daughter and Grandkids, so taking off that Friday not looking good. Ordering a trailer today so I do not have to worry about it anymore in the future.
Joan will not ride in the SS if temp is below 60, so I could just ride the SS down solo on Friday evening. But not giving up hope renting a trailer.
@KayTwo. I will let you know if I find a trailer for rent on this side of the water.

Well this was just put on the market......guess if I gut it I can fit the SS and my trailer problems solved!!!!!!!

Question on this...Will the Sling fit on a 7X14 open trailer?? I know it won't in a 7X14 enclosed.
-
Here is mine on an open 7x14
-
Truely don't know.......but it would be really cool if it did......the 318 Engine alone is worth it.!
-
It's a little snug, but it fits

None in Fl. but I did find one in Beuford SC. LOL

Thx, apparently it's the ramp..On the enclosed it only went to the inside of the rear walls and lost a few inches.

Picture this 7x16 trailer, and imagine it"s 2 feet shorter. The axles will be more forward, of course. Now imagine three 6-foot ramps (instead of two 5-foot ramps). These ramps are also removable, and are stored in the slide-in racks under the ass-end of the trailer. Oops, I said ass!!! We are also having two spare tire mounts put on. Notice the rear deflectors? We are getting stabilizer legs added. Drop those suckers down before you load the Sling, and you don't have to worry about the ass end riding up. Dang it! I said ass again!! We're working with a no nonsense rep named Kevin. The actual manufacturer is not open on Saturdays, so he (Kevin) will be calling me on Monday with all the specifics. He assured me it would not exceed $2,500...even with making the ramps 6 feet. I may have forgotten to factor in the two spares and their mounts. I mean, I've been trailer shopping for quite some time. This, by far, is the best deal (for me) for the money! -
So LEONARD is the brand?

Yes. One of the local fabricators in the area. They are not the only LEONARD fabricators. But this one is real close to my house. I didn't even know. Once again, Velma found this one!!!!! Keeper, for sure.

I have a 7 x 14 ft open dual axel and put a 6ft tail gate on it. Still need to hook to the tow vechiel and jack up the front end just a little.
I have stock wheels and have just enough clearance. Some of the aftermarket
wheels are just a little WIDER and very little room for error when loading. Stock wheels and tire sizes you have about 1.5 inches on each side, less with the aftermarket. -
