Many of us have experienced the cracks on the side rails. Before I even think about the $400 replacements I'm wondering if anyone knows if the 2015 braces are available and if they fit the 2016 ...... bad bad bad OCD

@Ross, are you looking at the possibility of warranty work?
-
I'm thinking I'm going to try for warranty work and then if not DIY.
It looks like the bracket/brace that was on the 2015 and was removed for the 2016 isn't an available part any more .... just what was used on the 2016

I had the drivers side warrantied, before it left the dealership. Unfortunately, the new side panel came in with a big paint chip. I beveled the heck out of all 3 sides of the bracket, and covered it, wrapping over the outer edges with 1/8" foam. I then put 1/8" foam on the inside of the panel at the corresponding location. (My original panel was deeply scored from the crappy bracket.) When my second "new" panel comes in, I will see how well my "fix" held up. I would bet that the '15 bracket would work, but doubt they have any....... IF they have a brain, they will be switching back shortly- they have to be warrantying the hell out of side panels!

I wouldn't assume that. I bet a lot of people don't notice the cracks, or if they do, don't know the cause and/or the fix. Or that they can address them under warranty.

The 2015 part numbers are 1019436-329 (right) and 1019437-329 (Left)
2016 are 1021666 (Right) and 1021667 (Left)
According to purepartspolaris, they are all still available.
Here is a link to the 2015 parts.
Pure Parts Polaris: Pure Victory, ATV, Snowmobile, Ranger & RZR PartsI may be wrong since I didn't procede to checkout, but might be worth a try.

Ok, so you guys all got me nervous about this, so I went out and took a good look at my Sling, and sure enough, I have a dime sized crack along the top of the side panel on the left of the driver's shoulder!
S.O.B.
So, as it turns out, I am sending a friend with my Sling over to my dealer to give it a once over before our road trip next week. I phoned over to them and told them about this crack, and what I suspect has occurred, (thanks to you all).
I guess we'll see from here.

My cracks aren't huge but I don't want my cracks out of control either. Damn @Tripod should pay me for these setups I just keeping laying out there for him
At $330 per panel, I'm hoping my dealer covers them under warranty but I've had such bad luck with my dealer for anything that I'm thinking about changing dealers
-
Cracks should never cost $330 but then, I guess you get what you pay for...
Yes, that should be covered by warranty & make sure you take the steps outlined on the forum to prevent recurrence.
-
I just ordered the 2015 supports to see what it will take to mount those that way I don't have to worry about it happening again
-
Now I have a Brand New set of Stock Side Wings for sale!!! Gray 2015

Question. So I had the dealer look at my side panel, (#11). They placed a claim and it looks like they will warranty it.
However, as I got in, there was a slight pop, and the panel seemed loose. looks like the finished panel was simply bound against the black interior plastic. So it is just loose. However, where do I find the thread on how to tighten this up? Or, if someone could point out how, that would be great.
Thanks.
