Hey guys. I am beginning to think I might have one of those "Friday builds" as this thing has been kicking the check engine light on and off for the last couple days. Getting a code 0598 and dealer says it is for a wheel speed sensor. Will stay on for a couple of trips then go off and come back on after another couple trips. SS still runs fine and can tell no difference in how it drives. Just frustrated that this will be the second time in two weeks that it has been in the shop for a repair (leaking angle drive last week) and I have only had it for a month. Anyone else had this particular problem? Searched it here and nothing came up.""
Threadmarks: 598

The mechanic said there was a magnetic switch on the clutch actuator that was out of adjustment.
Another several hundred miles and no problems.Index

Check engine light came on yesterday and I'm not sure how to even read this. It has a 0 on the far left, 598 on the right and a small 2 under the 5. Any help is appreciated.

@FunCycle, you’re right, I posted that information but this is one of those weird codes that’s not listed. Here’s the link to that thread:

That's what I was wondering. I saw that post but could not find that code so I thought I was looking at something different. So is this some sort of "misfire" that will go away on it's own or is it an issue? Thanks @Tripod.

Not necessarily a fault, may be a “burp” with no future impact & code will go away on its own. The clutch sensor is there as a safety issue (won’t allow the starter to engage unless the clutch is pushed in). If you can start your SS you’re probably okay...

Called dealer and they said they would look into it and get back to me to see what the code meant. It didn't really bother me that the check engine light was on. I figured if I blew the engine it would be a good reason to buy a new sling.

Well I pulled the cai sensor blew it off and no more 598 code. I don't think that was the issue. Dealer said can't find anything but will talk to tech next week. Wanted me to bring it in so they could do diagnostics but I told them I didn't want to spend time in the shop unless the code appears again.

my dealer knows that I do not leave my Sling for them to work on
