I have installed halos with other leds. I want to turn off the headlights during the day and only run the new leds and halos. I’m looking to have the headlights turn on automatically at dusk. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Switching Headlights with Neutrino

I did convert my SS to LEDS and can turn them on and off, but with switches (manual) .

Install your own switch, switches...
How to add a switch to headlights.
Or purchase aftermarket from Slingmods dot com...
Either way, you will have to turn on your lights manually when the the long shadows come out to play.

Before you do this.....make sure your state requires the headlights to be on while driving a motorcycle...that’s why motorcycles don’t have switchable headlights.
with the neutrinos you could use the app on your cell phone. The lights could be turned on or off with the slider control. -

Assuming for just a moment that motorcycle headlight laws wouldn't apply, I wonder how difficult it would be to remove the dashboard sensor and control module from a car that has the auto headlight on/off feature, like a few cars I've had, and install it on the Slingshot?

Thanks for the suggestions! I will probably end up going with a mechanical switch. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something that hasn't already been done with the Neutrino.

open up that link for the kit...it shows the parts involved and the wiring diagram....it looks like a cluster.....k
it’s not as simple as I thought it would be. I was thinking just wire the sensor into the hot wire and be done.....I was completely wrong. -

Bigdog being wrong...
That plug-and-play includes fuse, relay, switch, and all wiring...
and that cluster duck has been working fine in my ride for four years.

I’m just looking at the wiring schematic....lots of connections to make....it’s more than I want to deal with.....personally I want my headlights on 24/7
There is no such thing as being too visable ....especially when everyone is speeding and most are texting and speeding....
just my thoughts on the subject of safety....that’s why I added over $1500 of more lights to my front and back end..... -
if your state requires motorcycles to have headlights on all the time.....if you’re involved in a crash....and it’s determined you disconnected the headlights.....you’re screwed.....especially when the other drive says I didn’t see him....

you were screwed before you made it to the scene of the accident.
Fixed that for ya.

JC Whitney used to sell a kit that you could put on any car to turn the headlights on and off at dusk/dawn. I wonder if that kit is still sold somewhere....
