Got some new headlights today. The Slingatti Lights by SlingMods.
The battery that died I put in Nov 2018... I never put a battery tender on mine. It was strong until Saturday. And just pooped....
purchased my SS in august of 2016 still on the original battery so far.

are you skipping the third piece on the hood emblem that covers the word "slingshot'?

yes, I have it but I haven’t decided whether I’m going to put it on or not. Kind of like it the way it is right now. Just like I broke up the fender kits as well and the centerpiece hood too.

......need a good review from you in about 30 days because I'll be right behind you getting em.........thanks for the video.......they look great.....
Gimme a few days to see how they work. Installation was straightforward with the harness they offer. Haven't had a chance to drive at night yet.

......how do they function on start up......
$$$ but look nice
Yeah, but 1/2 the $$$ of the competition. And not much more than the 2020+ light conversion kits.

There is a left to right and then right to left sequence on start up. Of course, me being in the drivers seat means I never see it. You can see the Slingmods Video here right at the 1:13 mark that shows the entire sequence. The housings are different and the sequence (inside to out vs outside to in) is different between the Slingmods version and the competitor. You will need the Slingmods harness assy if you don't have it all ready. (I had it from a previous mod.)
BTW, just to be clear: This is just for the headlights/blinker combo. The upper and lower brow LEDs I added are a separate mod.

I do like the looks of these headlights, but being in California I am very hesitant to modify any of the factory lighting. California law on vehical lighting is very strict. you not supposed to change any of the legally required lighting and in fact you are not supposed to add any aftermarket lighting of any kind within 12 inches of the legally required lighting
On motorcycle, which the slingshot still is classified as in CA there are no inspections on any of these things, enforcement is left to the police & highway patrol - - - - I suspect that most officers would not even know what stock looks like, but fancy sequencial lights like this, they might get more attention as not being stock - - - and I sure don't need or want any additional attention from some highway patrol officer who's having a bad day.

Yep, that's the one. It comes up as an "Option" on the lights themselves so you have to choose to take them or not. I did not get the center LED headlights tho' because I already have LED headlights.
First, my oldest step granddaughter who lives with us graduated from Rowan U. school of engineering this morning. She will be going to Duke U. this summer to work on her PHD. Wife is in front. I broke out the old Members Only jacket that was in the closet waiting to see daylight again.
Then I got home in time to do some prep work on the sling prior to Maggie Valley.

That's just awesome Frankie!!
CONGRATULATIONS!!!
lazarus , I have really been looking at those for my new Slingshot and called slingmods about the installation but sounded a little confusing? I was also curious if they would work with the pedal covers and I see yours looks great??
Sorry for late reply Batcycle! I found the F1 Mat installation really straightforward to be honest. I've heard of some folks who have had slight issues, but it went very smoothly for me. Took me maybe 30-40 minutes to get both installed and situated correctly.
I had to remove some additional foam insulation (to reduce heat in floorboard area) a previous owner had done on the driver side which took a little bit of effort but still wasn't bad.
If yours is stock it should be pretty easy- you have to do a little acrobatics with bending it into place, but once you have it 'popped' in correctly all you need to do (at least on my 2015 model) is tuck the plastic clips under the dash area and you're done.
I got the additional clip in, optional carpet inserts with the mats which I really like- has already made cleaning a breeze, and I just like the feel/look of a solid color floor. Very thick carpets. Pedal covers are the older ones for my 2015 model but they make similar types for new ones as well. I thought the pop of color looked good against a darker interior.
