Because you can never have to much carbon fiber 😎. Did the fender inserts today. Gunna run with it for while then perhaps a little more. The inside three are hard to see.
Got the “road” off of her today. Took a while….

I have two of these on the way. I think I can get the better part of 1000 miles out of the one I have on now but the bars are almost even with the tread so we shall see. I believe I have around 9000 miles on this one now.
The federal 595s are my favorite but they don’t make a tire for my 10.5 x 20 rim. Perhaps someday…Falken makes this tire.

The RIKEN RAPTOR ZR is very similar in looks and it hooks. This is what I have been running
Well my project was to order ddm coolant tank and hose reroute. Does that count? I stripped the coolant tank screws on another project so this could be an interesting install.
As I just got it, I thought I would start fresh
Oil and filter change, and check and change angle drive fluid today.
Will do the tranny fluid this week sometime.
Here is a pic of the angle drive magnetic bottom plug. 8k on it
grease rear u-joint, updated GPS map on stock head unit
A slingshot owners' best friend. One thing I've learned with the slingshot. If it's not critical pay special attention not to over torque. Many times, I use light duty locktight, Permatex or silicone as a low strength retainer.
I have a torque wrench that gets used often👍🏻👍🏻

If you can't fix it with duct tape - you're not using enough duct tape!
Well made some progress on clutch job today. Motor out, new clutch on, motor back in. Have to hook the front hoses, intercooler, and the rest of the small stuff and it's ready for my quad kit to show up! The hardest part so far for me and my buddy anyway, was lining it back up to get it to remount to tranny.... game of angles with a beer or two as you do it to stay calm! Some pics below, the stock clutch had like 5k on it, so wasn't bad - just couldn't hold super charger power.

......I have a few torque wrenches due to the fact that I work on alot of Harleys and I torque every bolt I see when dealing with those bikes....

...this brings back memories, nice work...had the same issue trying to snap mines back in but other than that , this forum made the job simple for me .....have a friend interested in a Turbo and may want me to pull his engine for an upgrade clutch also....
torque wasn't my issue starting bolt off center was. I also have torque wrenches.
I just love walking out my front door on a warm afternoon and smelling new tires!😎
smelling new tires
Got the call last night!
My wheels and tire are all set!
Picking them up today!!
Just think when you ship a tire it’s probably the only item that doesn’t need bubble wrap a box packing tape. Just grab it off the shelf and hand it to the mailman!
All this new tire talk.... had to check my order. These are still delayed, but says they are supposed to ship on 4/21. Mr. Kyle hooked me up with a good deal on some Forgestar D5 beadlocks. I don't have enough power for these "yet", but one day I will and until then will be fun to have a pair to throw on for track time.
Got my D5 Beadlocks all set up for this year a few days ago. I'll be running a pair of 325/50/15s These M&H drag radials are soft like bubblegum. Shouldn't have many issues putting the power down this year. 3GunSteve you're going to really like those tires. Those have been my favorites for the last couple years. They wear fast (I think I went through 3-4 last year) but good lord they are sticky and do not take a lot of heat to get sticky.
