It’s not how many parts you have it’s how many you have left over when you’re done🤪
What was today's Sling project-Mods , goodies....?

Oh, and how many people can name all the parts on those 2 tables? Employees of DDM not eligible.
Sent from my SM-G960U using Polaris Slingshot Forum mobile app
I can name them all.
But my guess is that they already have names...

I was thinking that during installation they have names like:
vhryudw$&!?kqvji?&@$ -

Nice! I saw those on slingmods as well, then went to Amazon like you...Almost got that same lambo cover, then saw this one and thought it might be cool at night with the light behind it. My little tribute to bumblebee w/out going full bore
I bought the Yellow button cover on Amazon ($5.99 w/Prime shipping). The difference between the Slingmods and Amazon versions is the Slingmods version has a ring that is designed to fit the grooves on the Slingshot starter button for a better fit. The Amazon version has a flat ring that is supposed to glue to the dash or, in this case, to the silver trim ring around the starter button and some of the silver ring around the starter button is still visible. Guess I'll see if I can cut a round piece of black ABS sheet to fit over the trim ring. This should also provide a flatter surface for attaching the button cover.

I don't print ABS I use PetG. The problem is drawing the darn thing with Fusion 360. I forget how to use the program if I hadn't used it in a few weeks. I will look around to see if someone else has already done it.

I'd love that .stl if you do find one. I hadn't thought past buying the dang thing

Nothing on the site I normally use. If I run out of thing to do on my list I will try drawing one up.

Ya probably right. Just making a ring with out the bumps on the back to fit the button would be a piece of cake. Only reason I would want the switch cover is if it would shade the button so it was easier the see it turn green in the bright sun. But then I can't see my digital or analog speed on my dash most of the time. In my Jeep I read the speed off the GPS. Easy to see. The GPS in the SlingShot rather kind of sucks

Don't have a 3D printer, so I must make do with working ABS sheet. I also just use Libre Office's Presentation or MS Office's PowerPoint to create the plans I use to make stuff. Most CAD, Architectural design programs have too steep a learning curve and I just find it easier to make do with simple software.

True Fusion 360 is way to hard. Really a powerful program but hard to learn and remember at my age. Got to use a program that works with my slicer. There are some simpler ones.

The more I thought about it and looking at it... KISS applies here. Went with 3m tape on the ring vs cheap stuff it came with, alcohol to clean, 3m prep, and this isn't coming off without some fishing line or a good yank!
-
That is probably the best solution as I see no reason that it has to fit into the groves on the switch ring. As long as one is careful when lining it up putting it on. I just like the looks of the Lambo cover better but as we can see it is way over priced. Seams like if you but the name Slingshot in a parts name the price is way to high. Then maybe I should bought a Yugo on my budget.

Since the turbo was done figured the badging needing an upgrade too. Kinda reminds me of the lettering on my supra (no I don't still have it, I'm a dumbass) and the red tied in with what's under the hood so it worked!

3GunSteve Do you like that wing. Looking at putting one on and maybe a Raptor top. The hold up is I don't think my cover will fit if I do and I don't have a garage just a tarp awning to park under.
I like the wing, some people don't and I get that. I see it more as a touch towards my "adult go cart" look vs the import/tuner look that some guys see. Now I know with some tops they don't fit. I got this used and had I paid more than a 1/3 of what these wings are new I probably wouldn't have one. Pure looks thing in my opinion anyway!

Ok so i started this a few days ago but just got around to finishing it........center hub caps from a set of SLR wheels ........not to big on branding so i wanted to get rid of the slingshot emblem, found out it was a 2 piece center cap with the top piece held on by double sided tape......after seeing the blue wasnt the blue i wanted i went with the black and like it alot better now

MADDMOE I get it! I have kept the "signage" of the slingshot on the tail fin and that's it - am thinking of ways to rid the metal "slingshot" from below the GPS screen or perhaps just black it out. Big fan of clean and badgeless. I have relocated the SS on the hood and now think it may be best as a flat black - we shall see.... Alter on Dude!
