If I had one of those, the first mod would have to be a flame thrower out the back end

Don't forget the sides just in case someone gets too close

As long as we're bending the rules just a touch, here's one that caught my attention. Technically it's a 2 wheeler with 2 outriggers but they called it an autocycle long before the Sling came along.
This is a 1986 Pulse Autocycle, powered by a liquid-cooled Kawasaki inline four and a 6 speed manual transmission. It's one of approximately 326 made by the Oswosso Motor Car Company in Michigan.
Now how cool is that?
Sliding canopy:
She got tunes!
It looks so fast, it does 60mph sitting still

Several years ago I saw several of them at a car/bike show. neet.

How about a 1970 Piaggio Ape 600 MPV? Powered by an air-cooled, two-stroke, single-cylinder 187cc engine
This looks like golf cart meets rickshaw meets VW Thing meets VW Bus meets BMW Isetta meets wheelbarrow. I say no on every level!

Makes our Slingshots seem like a bargain!

Here is the one I am waiting for on East Coast..
Any one know of any person who has test drove the Solo ??
-
I have looked into this one. Not to replace the sling but as an addition after selling my truck & having two different 3 wheel vehicles.

I think that is like the Elio ??? Not near ready to manufacture....I know I put the 1k hoping but know now never to be..LOL

I also put money down on the Elio. This is the same concept but electric and has Mutiple replaceable solar panels to provide additional charging on the fly or remote parked. Also licensed as an autocycle. I'm not sure how the dealership process would work. I know Elio was looking to contract Pep Boys which made sense.

In theory it looks good but I will not invest in another vehicle unless I see it and they have ground work for warranty
on these vehicles...
That is one reason I will not purchase a Solo for the same reason that they have no network for anything but selling Solo
on West Coast.... They will not tell me how much a new battery replacement will cost or warranty work if needed..
So I will stick with my 2 ---3 wheelers and Jeep pickup for now ..LOL

Googled "Solo 3-wheeler" and found this EV Trike available thru Tractor Supply - https://www.tractorsupply.com/…-spider-72-v-trike-yellow. 90-mile range, but max speed is only 50 mph. Looking at the pics and video, it makes a Slingshot look really BIG! 3 ft shorter than a Slingshot and roughly 12" narrower. Despite the limited range and speed, it looks interesting, especially at the price. A unique vehicle if you live in a golf-cart community (assuming it doesn't break down too easily)!
I was surprised to find a variety of 72V batteries ranging from 20 - 50 Ah on Amazon at prices from around $230 - over $1000.

At 8k does not look that bad from Pictures ..But I am sure close up it will look more toy ish......
But for local runs I could see thiis in future..
But I like Solo becasue it is fully enclosed with heater and wipers for local going to store or to friends or pickup lunch alone..
-
But for local runs
I'd put a slider in the back window.
Pick up a bunch of friends and go boozin' & cruisin' for an afternoon.
What a party!!
-
Looks like a blast for local rides. Just not keen on using my head as a roll bar.

And watching them drive in it on video you can see the ground and look out the front rom under the dash..
That would be some cool breeze rides at times
