Guy Buys New McLaren 600LT - Car Impounded 10 Minutes Later

Well, now he has time to read the owner's manual and possibly a driver's manual...
-
I read he was impounded for 100 mph (167 kph)... I have just 2 questions.
1. How far over the speed limit was he?
2. How do Slingshot owners in Canada ever keep their slings out of 'car jail'?

We have had one of our Canadian family members' Sling put in time out. Can't remember who though.

Yes they are hard on us for speeding. Not just the fine and impound but our insurance will go way up. Have to be careful letting the foot loose on the throttle

I don't know about the natives, but for me when visiting there, the threat was enough.

Had a guy here buy one of those fancy vettes, before he even got to drive it kid in the service department took it for a ride and totaled it. Special order car.

1. According to the article, he was doing 100 mph in a 56 mph zone.
2. I guess they need to drive very carefully and observe the posted speed limit. I have an aversion to speeding tickets and try not to exceed 4-5 mph over the speed limit and always strive to not be the fastest vehicle in my group. I prefer for someone else to attract attention!
