I've been using a MadStad 13" Single Adjustable windshield since December 2015, but I've been thinking about trying AllthingsSlingshot's NASCAR-style windshield, possibly the Tall Boy +2 version that would almost come up to my TD Top, but I'd like to keep some ventilation, so I was wondering if any one has tried the these vents designed to install on polycarbonate windshields. I've seen some round aircraft windshield vents installed on one of the solid Slingshot windshields and the Seizmik vents caught my attention.
Anybody ever tried Seizmik Versa Vents?

That's what I thought when I saw them, too. My only concern is their depth and how much they stick out in front of the windshield. F4 Customs has mentioned using a Honda Goldwing vent, but I've never seen a pic. Amazon lists this Chinese vent for the Honda Goldwing - https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B00YP3VOUI/, but looking at the pics in the listing, it looks like I'd probably need 2 of them, one in front of each seat. One advantage of using them in front of the seats is any rain that might get in during a hard rain would hopefully not drain over the infotainment pod since my main goal is air w/o risking damage to my radio and AFR/Boost gauge.
The Seizmik vents seem to protrude in front of the shield about as much as they extend behind the shield, while the Goldwing vents don't seem to protrude in front of the shield anywhere near as much.
Before spending $645-695 for a windshield and then cutting holes in it, I'd like as much info as possible.

I think @LargeCar's pics might have been the ones I referred to in my original post. Given the relatively small size of the round vents, I wonder how they perform compared to larger vents.
-
What about something like this, but smaller?
Would hardly protrude at all...

At over 7" diameter and not being clear, I think it might obstruct my vision. I've been searching for over 1 year for possible options. Thanks for the idea.

My concern would be traveling at highway speed which most quads will never reach.
Why not bring in air from the sides like the old vent wings in cars?

have you seen or ridden on today's quads and side x sides. Highways speeds are nothing for these new machines.

Small bursts of power in the woods isn’t hours of highway speed driving. Apples and oranges.
-
Most big farmers around here use there side x side as a main vehicle going from farm to farm and general use every day and I see them on the main roads here all day long traveling at high way speeds. I can't see them producing and selling these vents if they wouldn't hold up to everyday use at high speed travel. I think you just way over think stuff way too much. You must be a half glass empty person the way you worry about every damn thing

Ten million side by sides all travel at highway speeds all day long?
I’m confused. Buy a tall windshield to keep the wind off you then you want to cut holes in it to let wind in, because you’re not getting enough air.

Sorry I'm so late to the thread. I do have round vents, actually from an aircraft supplier. I memory serves they were like $24 for the pair and require a 3.250" hole be drilled. They fit nicely and supply a lot of air.

Here's another option:

I should have mentioned in my Post #3 above that from what I've heard, F4 Customs uses a modified Goldwing vent. I assume the differences in shield thickness may be the reason for a modded vent.
