Yeah, I've hinted, will do that again. Doesn't help much when your internet is lousy
LOL, I've thought about trying to fashion something to attach it so I don't lose my fancy new color one.
I've seen a few that had some fish line attached.

samowens44 suggests using some Velcro tape attached to the roll hoop and the gas cap so the cap can't just roll away if you forget to put it back after gassing up.
I chose to try adapting a commercial gas cap replacement tether to my Slingshot gas cap. Not necessarily the smoothest look, but it works. See - My attempt at a tethered gas cap
I've been thinking about replacing the cable tie spider with a stainless crew clamp, since the cable tie assembly sometimes starts working its way down the gas cap, but I have been happy with my tether design for the past year.
I like it!
The best thing to do with the gas cap is put in on the drivers seat as soon as you take it off..
If you have a pain in your A$$ when you try to leave the station its the cap!
Best idea yet! I told rabtech you were ok, but he tried to argue with me...
Most of us who have been around since the early days are NOT OK --- all Slingshot warped.
Had to go into Dallas today, so was there all day, got home about 8pm, customer called with an issue, so I'm up working late tonight.
And, I get to do some plumbing work tomorrow morning, shower started dripping badly, the house is 24 years old, original shower valves, so it's due. I'd rather tinker with the SS tomorrow, hopefully I can fix the shower quickly.
I feel your pain. I'll be on a tractor mowing pastures tomorrow. It's going to be in the mid 70s for the first time this year. The Slingshot would be so much better.
Got most of the grass cut and trimmed today I have another 8 acres left to do but it will have to wait until Sunday.
Just came back in from the shop - detailed the truck and the Sling. We have the first our monthly concert and car show tomorrow. I will decide which one goes to the show when I get a better feel for the weather. Looks like it may rain late in the day and I am on the set up / tear down crew for the concert so if it going to rain the truck wins.
The sun!! IT BURNS!! My white meat is now a lovely shade of pink.
Pastures are done though
Was up till 9am this morning working, but got the customer fixed up and they were online before their Sat shift came in. Slept till 1pm.
Got my water leak fixed, whoever installed the tiles decided to use grout as a filler around the water valves, not completly closing them in, but couldn't unscrew it, so had to chisel grout. Didn't break any tiles I don't think, but was fun. SO is happy that I got the leak fixed, even bought her new handles (old ones were very dated looking). Had to go to a hardware store, so of course, took the SS and went a longer route, total of about 40 miles
Then I got to tinker with the SS for a bit, posted in the mods of the day thread. If I would have had more time to play in the shop, was going to work on my flag holder that I'm designing, will do that later this week.
Austin folks are coming up to DFW for chicken tomorrow, so going to ride in and meet up, weather is supposed to be good, so looking forward to it.
You know that old saying, measure twice, cut once... I got in a hurry tonight and cut a piece of aluminum angle and had cut at my drill points, not at the length... sigh
Was my last piece of angle, so gotta go get some more tomorrow.
I'm traveling all next week with work, so no SS projects will get done. I'm rapidly running out of time before MV. Going to do a big push this weekend to get stuff done.

I hate that when it happens....
I didn't get a chance to touch the SS today. With work this morning and then I rented a skid-steer to move gravel and dirt around all afternoon/evening. Repaved my driveway with gravel and had to work on a retaining wall in front of my house to fix some drainage issues.
Fun times!
Yeah, IT work, from home 95% of the time. I'm a network engineer, working for a Cisco VAR.

Polaris has a skid loader SS attachment.
Mowed a bunch today, I have almost 2 acres, lots of trees and woods on two sides, plus a right of way on the 3rd that is never taken care of, I mow it a couple of times a year, just to not give snakes a close place to my house and shop. Killed two snakes in that area, a small copperhead and a medium chicken snake.
We do have rat snake and king snakes in the area, I leave those alone.
Then we smoked some pork chops and bratwurst, along with some veggies. Was a good end to the week.
I probably should have mowed today...
Unlike you wokka , my Sling is in my garage, up on the Quikjack.
Waiting on parts that I was hoping would arrive today.
So, started vegging here on the forum.
8:00 pm rolled up and no parts.
The enthusiam wained after that.
Fortunately, Guardian_Angel gets off shortly and I can go fix us some dinner.
Hope you Sling comes around soon and you can make it with your plans.
