Thanks. Have not driven it yet. Just sat in the garage making "vroom vroom" sounds.

Order a back up summi for the rear cause you gonna ride even harder now......
I been reading all these great, informative posts. I think I have settled on what I want but not sure what brand they are - can anyone help???

Have you guys looked in to the anti submarining technology on some of the four points?

Yup, the Schroth and Takata brand utilize it. The strap on your right shoulder stretches at a different rate to keep you from sliding under the lap belt. I have the paperwork that came with mine if you would like to see it. It's one of the reasons I went with Schroth since there is no good way to attach a 5 point harness.

I went Takata and kinda wish I had gotten the Schroth just for the dot approval. So the belt stretches, is it a one time shot? I was wondering if the ASM is activated does it destroy the harness?
It appears to be a one shot deal. But, don't quote me on that as their literature just says once the ASM is activated you return to your normal shoulder position.
It is recommended that you should replace any harness after a wreck though.
There is a ton of info out on harnesses and think more research needs to be done. A lot of inaccurate information is getting thrown around here and this in an area that could affect someone's life.

That's what I figured. Just like a helmet it should be replaced after it's been used.
When I talked with Schroth they said all 3 versions of the Rallye belts are DOT approved. Came with paperwork and red button.
I got my Schroth in... I will be replacing my PRP ones soon.

Great, what color did you go with?

I ordered the Silver... I thought...but when I opened up the box I swear it was something else....But I will keep them - they took about 6 weeks. SO I figure I will just go with it. I believe it was NOT Silver - I did not even take them out of the box. I just peaked and I think they are black w/yellow stitching.

Did you like the PRP? I was considering those for the money and I like the horizontal chest strap.

YES absolutely do like them. They just did not have the DOT approval. I kind of wanted that. But PRP ones are very nice.

I see you are all ready for some hard riding with a spare tire waiting in the background
