Well
On Plus side it sounds repairable
On the sucks side that is a big nut - is any of covered by insurance or Polaris?@FunCycle your dilemma has inspired me to start making a removable mount for a winch in my trailer.
Started cutting and grinding today. Have to leave in the morning so I won't get everything welded until next weekThat looks like what they are submitting to State Farm. I do not know how I missed that, total is $4,511.97 I will be calling them tomorrow.

@MACAWS I can't find the winch.... I know it's here somewhere.... I think?
Don't sweat it
They are cheap as hell now... you can get a 3000 lb winch for $100
I just need to get under the trailer and bolt some plates to the frame rails -

Should be able to run the chains to the floor anchors up front.
What do you think @Ruptured Duck -
@MACAWS it might depend on how the anchor points are mounted.
Remember you are just pulling a rolling load and not really the full 1700lbs. You might be able to just add an additional metal plate under the floor that is larger then the winch plate. This would spread the load over a larger area.

Yep I may just go back to plan A
Put 2 big steel "L" on the center beam - drill and tack some nuts to the underside.
Then just bolt it down when I need it... That portable mount was to easy to be good -
Mount a receiver hitch flush to the floor attached to the frame facing up. So the hitch opening is flush with the floor.
Mount the winch on the top of a square box section the same size of the receiver opening.
Drop it in the hole. Winch it up. Pull it out. -

Looks like That might just be the way I go. -
Not sure how I missed this... @FunCycle ~> @sideslinger and I are so glad you're OK... I have an entire lower wing (and stabilizing cross bar which needs a little tweaking) if that helps?
*My internet in Thailand is not the best... We fly out next week Thursday ~> just let me know if you need it and I get it to you when we get back.
Hugs,
-Erica -

@FunCycle glad to hear you are getting your S.S. back.
Also sorry to everyone that attended Kenny and Rab's North Ga. Ride - VERSION 2.0 - July 28-30 Blairsville 2017 I kinda just realized that neither myself or @rabtech were in attendance of this event. Gonna kind of make it hard to have a part 3 next year.
