Many are waiting to see these results! Ahem... @SlingRider
Black hood panels

Install went smooth and I like the results. Also changed out the roll hoop bumps to match.
They go on easier than they came off. -
They look very nice. Good job!
I was hoping to get the hood panels in the brighter red. They are sold as part of the appearance kit on the Polaris accessories site but are expensive - $1k or so. Can't seem to find just the painted panels for the price you paid.

They go on easier than they came off. Those look great @Red. My wife wants hers replaced with the same kind. Are they the pearl black like the ones on my orange SLR, how much total and which company finally got them for you? Also, did you replace the pieces under the hoops?

#1 Powersports Dealer | Babbitt's in West MI | New & Used
Black Pearl hood panels $509.72
Black Pearl bumps $213.63
I used their app and saved 10% but made two orders (the bumps were an after thought) so paid shipping on both.
Search for parts on yours to find the black pearl ones.
Plus you'll need some mounting tape to install. -

Why do they charge twice as much for the kit? A gas cap and center trim piece isn't that expensive.

It's the Polaris way @Red...
You definitely have the right idea and saved money through this "loophole"... As for panels in red @Live-a-Little!, I don't think there's a model that has them red as a standard like the SLRs have black... It may be possible to get white (as replacements) cheaper due to the blue fire and midnight cherry models...
@Painter, @SlingRider, did you see? Cheaper and easier than sanding, scuffing, and trying to smooth out the textured panels....?

@MiM I love the idea of them just showing up all done and such!!!!
That was one of the reasons I didn't prep and paint the old ones. Plus the new ones had all the attachment points still intact.
