You know I have always known that the tools like Snap On and Matco and Cornwell and MAC were very good and warranted forever. But they are so expensive. How do guys at shops afford to buy these things. I can only imagine a guy at a small shop would have a small fortune in these kinds of tools. And most of the shops I walk into around here have those huge tool boxes full if this stuff.
I just realised they are the same set(look at item number) and rabtech gets it for $150 less than me(e-price)
I have a friend that is a tool nut and he has bout everything Snap On makes. Some of those tools are an insane amount of money. I can really tear crap up good with my Craftsman tools I guess if your like @rabtech you can use all those tools...I ain't!!! Can you imagine paying this for a TOOLBOX???
Well, hey there, friend. I like you.
Just like the mods, I really do not need the ammo either. The shooting range is in the back yard, goes out to about 400 yards.

Heard today Sears is selling Craftsman...

@sideseatdriver - @FunCycle invited me down to go shooting. Back next week.
Yeah. I have a unlimited shooting area. I hear people talk about not being able to discharge a weapon and all the limits they have. Then I walk outside in my boxers with a 30/30 or a 357 and shoot stuff off my fence in the backyard. God bless america.

If they do that, they just as well as close their doors.

Amen, brother. Grew up shooting off the back porch. Miss it - some day when I grow up and settle down, I want that again.
I did drink that grape drink but here is what I'm drinking now.
"I did NOT have sex with that grape drink!"
If they do that, they just as well as close their doors.
Yep, pretty much. Sad.
Wait,,,,, I heard sears bought black and decker....
I cant imagine sears dropping craftsman. If they did It would be the absolute end to sears.
That sucks for sears. They have been in business for over 100 years... And Craftsman was a quality name brand. And Diehard batteries and all kinds of other Sears stuff.
I
I have a mixed box of tools my first set was the huge multi piece set from craftsman that my grandmother bought for me when I turned 16, still have probably 99% of them. I own a shit load of snap on also. Anything that I have to put my weight into I buy once as I was taught that even though the tool is guaranteed for life when it breaks, they won't pay your wages when you smash your elbow when it breaks and your off work for a few while it heals. Buy quality tools if your going to use them often you won't regret it. There is a difference between a snap on screw driver and a harbour freight one besides the price.
You know Sears took a bad turn years ago when they started carrying a Chinese or some foreign made tool line. You cant carry the best and the (almost good) line. It will never work. And they had another name on it and in tiny letters it said somthing about craftsman quality. I believe the packaging was green and it had a limited 1 year warranty.
Lots of the old companies like JC Penny, Kmart, Macy's are all on the brink of closure or bankruptcy!! Brick and mortar buildings just cannot compete with Amazon. You can have it delivered to your door in 2 days...and cheaper!!! Guess it is good for the consumer but sure hate to see all these once great companies become a thing of the past!!

You are 100% right Sir. You buy that other S--- for the kids to use and lose.
I agree with buying good tools. I have all name brand tools that I use. HOWEVER. I do buy some things at Harbor Freight.. But not a lot. I like the extendable handle ratchets. I swear they are made with some of the best components. And they have rubber handles. Why can't the other companies put frigging rubber handles on there stuff! And I like some of their sockets and wrenches. You have to pick up and feel the tool at Harbor Freight and see if it was built with good stuff. They have two lines of stuff. And the Pittsburgh line seems to be ok.
And you can beat the shit out of a Harbor Freight screwdriver and not feel to bad about it...
