I have do a lot of over nights and weekends and never had any problems....
If I'm the only Slingshot at the motel I 'sweet' talk the staff into letting me park up
front and under entrance cover...Let the young lady behind the counter set in the Slingshot and take her picture with her 'phone' works 95% of the time.

WOULD LOVE TO DO THIS RIDE, BUT NO WAY I CAN LEAVE SLING OUTSIDE
Damn, I would miss a lot of great events and miss meeting a lot of great people thinking like that. I carry a cover with me that I use for overnight when I am not around. I take everything like Gps and stuff like that out of the sling when parked for any amount of time.

@Bill Martin That's F-ing FUNNY!! LMAO!!!!

@mytoy do you already have the roof. Looks like that would be a nice set up.
I do NOT want a roof on mine, the back rack is a good option.The new rooftop is out for painting, will take a while. I'll post pictures for sure after is back.

Well another Canadian coming down. Just registered and booked a room at the Ramada. Tried a couple other motels and all booked up. Ramada has one more room available. We plan on leaving here Thursday morning. Google maps says 10-1/2 hrs with normal driving. We will see What a black SS will do it in. Hope to put some faces to some of the very helpful people on these forums. Now if we can just get thru these winter withdrawals

One of the threads we talked about riding in the rain --- one Texan said if there
was a 10% chance of rain his Slingshot was staying parked....Northern Indiana I never have it out of the garage....so it gets wet once in a while...oh well. -

That's what rain-gear and a F4+7" windshield is for. And in the near future I gonna to have a rain wiper installed (driver side only), just in case.

Lol... That was me @EjFord! Almost melted the last time... Never again!
Since then though, I've just been caught once in the rain driving, a small drizzle and all was well. Was caught once at work with a big downpour... It was parked though... No cover!
I might be up to 20% chance now...
Riding in heavy rain is a pain!!! I always carry rain gear (Frogg Toggs) and if I'm away from my local area, my helmet with the full face shield. I also have the F4 5+ windshield which if its a light rain and 45+ mph the rain blows right over. I don't like to leave home in the rain, but I've got 42,000+ miles on my Slingshot
since Feb 2015...gona ride gona get wettttt! And I love to ride. Was out yesterday and today better than hour each --- sunny and 40. Great day in Northern Indiana.. -
