Couldn't stand it, 45degrees so I took her for a FAST 5 mile ride. Can't wait until spring. I think I am going to enjoy the supercharger!

Took a 221 mile ride with the AZ Elks Riders. Went to Globe AZ for lunch and then down 77 to Winkelman and up 177 to Kerney for drinks at the Elks Lodge. Then we rode to Superior and had dinner at Porters Saloon. Awesome day, great scenery and great comradery. Good group ride about 20 of us riding.

To the indoor gun range this morning. Warmed up to the low 50s and was a nice ride.

Went for a nice ride yesterday. Down to San Antonia to join the ACP 2 and 3 wheel ride. Met another SS couple at Cracker Barrel for Breakfast before driving down to San Antonio (about 110 miles 1 way). Was a little chilly on I-35 (about 36 degrees), but we made it down. We were prepped and dressed in layers (important later).
Got there a little early:
But people started arriving real quick:
Pulled out just about 11:45am. Beautiful day. Up into the 50s by noon and mid-60s on the ride. Had to stop twice for fuel (not me, why aren't other people ready to go on these things?):
Finally made it to Blackboard BBQ in Sisterdale.
Of course, since the Slings were in the back of the ride, by the time we got up to the line, we were so far back we gave up and took off for another ride. We ended up finding Reck 'Em Right Brewing and had a nice Reck 'Em Red before the drive home.
Total for me was just about 270 miles. About 110 miles there, then 110+ back and we only actually did about 35-40 miles with the actual full group. Still good times.
BTW, if people remember the trip a couple weeks ago that had a blown turbo (not mine), that last section between Round Mountain (shown with the time/mileage box above) and Bee Cave is what we were supposed to do then. Finished it!

Heck, I almost shxx my pants yesterday at $2.90 (Premium) in Texas!
These are “Death Valley” prices @ Furnace creek as in only horse in town and 75 miles to the next watering hole prices.🙂

Average gasoline prices by state in following AAA link. CA is most expensive, even barely beating Hawaii...
The reason?
With its policies of high gasoline taxes, special gasoline requirements that increase the cost of refining and transportation, and other programs supposedly designed to reduce smog and haze, higher gasoline prices are an inevitable outcome.
