Well, I finally dragged the old girl outside today to wash off the last trip. Realized that my mirror still had a rattle to it and turned out you can slip an 8 mm box wrench. Inside through the gap. Turns out snugging it up was really easy. I think I got about 3/4 of a turn on it. You can get to one bolt but the other one is a little difficult and I didn’t even try. However, my mirror is tight now, so I’m happy.😎

That's great to hear. My silicon fix worked perfect for my my problem as well - guess we both figured it out

One of these days hopefully someone will have the opportunity to pull one of these apart, and find out exactly how they are put together..
I have to believe that in someway the mirror itself is the last piece that just snaps in but the big question is can it be pulled out? -

So has anyone had to adjust the mirror's arm? I have cranked my mirror adjustment over to the left as far as it will go and is still not quite far enough. Has any one adjusted the arm itself? Is it hard to do? I don't want to break it off. I also have issues with it dropping when I go over a bump so I'll be trying SoCal's adjustment of the mirror itself.

MADDMOE I think you are the most likely candidate for this one judging from all the work that you do😎
.... never had an issue with my mirrors that made me want to tear them down completely as of yet.......

I have the convex side mirrors from Slingmods that are great....I can really see all areas around me.....really not any blind spots any more.

You do not say what year the Slingshot is and I do not know if the ones with the Polaris engine are the same. But here goes once again. 1 - Center the mirror in the housing UP and down and side to side. 2 - loosen the mounting arm bolt so that you can move from front to back. 3- Now just set the arm to where you can just see the rear of your Slingshot in the corner of the mirror. Then tighten the arm bolt back up. 4 - Now just make your final adjustment with the mirror itself. That will be as good as you can get it, You can also buy the arm extension/ which also may help you out a little bit more from Slingmods.

Thanks FunCycle. Sorry, it is a 2016+ but I think your info will work for me. The Spouse doesn't want me to break something but I figured that was what I'd have to do. I'm new to the forum so just looking for any help I can get as the only dealer is over 50 miles away.

Since you mentioned spouse I will say it's alot easier if you loosen the main bolt as mentioned and have a second person adjust the arm in or out while you sit in the seat to really put it where you need it without all the back and forth. Me personally I tighten mine up just snug enough that I can still move them in or out a bit on the fly if need be but that's just my preference.

Good point WickedReaper. I 'll mention that when we start working on it. Thanks

I had to teach my dealer that trick back in 2016. They had told me that they were catching hell trying to adjust the mirrors for everyone.

Ha Ha - I love it when we ed-u-macate the "Experts"

I was even telling the dealer everything that was going on with Polaris and the Slingshot's. We were at the time getting info on this forum before the dealers were.

Two items from SlingMods Adjustable Mirror Riser Kit for the Polaris Slingshot (slingmods.com) & Polaris Slingshot Convex Peel & Stick Side View Mirrors (slingmods.com) With these items can really make a great difference in what you can see in the rear. I have had both since Sept 2015... love them.

Thanks EjFord. I was looking at those. But I'm going to fix my arms first. I appreciate the help

....man those risers did the trick for me since day one......

Take a deep breath spend the time, and even if you don’t have someone to adjust them back-and-forth for you it was well worth my time to do the back-and-forth.
Getting all the bolts, tight enough so, it will hold position but not so tight that you can’t adjust them was the key. Pre-assembly. Make sure you have some Loctite on all of your screws and bolts then when you find the sweet spot, tighten them down hard and I have not had an issue yet.
Good luck with your project.! -

Ditto. Love mine.
