I have 110k on my 2015 rotors. Anyone know the minimum thickness for replacement? My fronts have lips on the edges and measure 19mm thick after deducting for the lip. The rear has no lip on the edge and is 58mm. Dave@DDMWorks

Here is what the manual says, looks like lower limit is 19mm thickness -

Thanks missed that. Going to buy a digital gauage and redo measurements.

My fronts and rears are at are at .81 inch with 103,000 miles. I have been running the Hawk 5.0 pads since around 5,000 miles. I also have a spare set of real low mile rotors
-
Just got back after buying a digital caliper rotor measuring tool. All rotors measured over 21mm. So no new rotors for now.

Anyone know the original rotor thickness?

Didn't Dave just post that? 0.827 inch or 21mm

His post showed 19mm time to replace. I don't think 21mm is oem since that would mean mine haven't worn at all.

My front and rear are at 0.81 like I said. I will check the low mile ones tomorrow for you

That's 20.574 mm. I'm curious what the original thickness is so I can quesstamate the life left on mine.

Just go ahead and get the Wilwood disc to go with those calipers! Dave would be happy to fix you up 😁
It'll help that burning feeling too

Nice looking.. Spent the disc money on ball joints so if I don't need them now that is good for the wallet.

Man I'm having a real hard time determining if I should replace the rotors. I have 110k on the
originals. They still measure 21mm. The fronts have a large lip on the edge. The rear is smooth. I'm upgrading to the Ddm calipers front and rear. Planned on installing tomorrow. I've researched replacement rotors. Drilled rotor research says it weakens the rotor and is more susceptible to warping. In your opinion should I replace the rotors or stay with what I have? Again, mine measure 21mm and replacement says at 19mm. But I'm concerned about the lip on the edge. Dave@DDMWorks

take and have rotors turned true to be safe

With the measurement at 21mm thickness, I would not be concerned. Like harleyujoe mentioned you can just take the rotors and have them turned for not much typically, that would be my suggestion also. The cross drilled rotors are not going to be an issue on the Slingshot, as typically any warping or cracking issues are seen on vehicles with higher weight that put more heat into the rotors. The stock size rotors on the Slingshot are actually quite good for its weight. Have the rotors turned if you want the quickest/least expensive option, get the cool 2 piece rotors if you want to save a little weight and look cool

thanks since I don want to wait 4-6 weeks for delivery, I'll skip the new rotors.

I just measured the new stock rotors, they are 0.82 inch or 21.1 mm

Yep went for the inexpensive rotors and bought zzp slotted rotors. Might as well replace since I'll have everything apart.
