......i know i cant be the only one who is having this problem.........the LED rings are dripping the hot glue covering & its happening on the other side also.....this isnt the first time it has happened and its like sap ..... not an easy removal without messing up the plastic housing.......SMDH
Why me.......
-
-
I used to have 3 tall pine trees in the front of my house and when they drip that sap on your car it was the worse
-
mine are doing the same thing.....

My Chaser lights would not turn on yesterday so I got that to trouble shoot now. Hope it is just the battery in the remote. got to find the second remote I ordered and try it then look at the fuse.
-
So you see i use Goof Off on a cloth i wet first so its not at its full strength but still the coloration makes me want to spray paint my headlight housing but those damn leds will just drip some more, so i might have to upgrade to the newer headlights and just be done with these rings
-
Just put some clear tape down under rings then peel and remove, then do it again.
Just a thought

Are those the Tricled rings? Kinda fits with their quality.
They make covers for the rings that you can pick up from:

Here is a set on the headlights I removed and painted the edge.

Ive been sitting here all day do nothing but staring at this on both sides and like i commented b4 this isnt the first time and i dont want to go thru it again so im removing em.......and yes these are the TricLeds ( which seems like all their LEDs have a shelf life b4 some issue pop up )

Had i known about these rings i might have went that route instead im replacing or upgrading my whole front lights , not going thru that again.....

I used 3M double-sided tape with a coat of primer before hand and have had no issues whatsoever🙂

Well since i refused to put up with my DRIPPING led rings , i decided to go another route ....with help of course from my shepherd, who did absolutely NOTHING (and that was actually helpful)
. .....also the drivers side piece will rub up against the bracket from the DDM hood extension bracket so i had to pull out my Dremel and get busy, now all is good
.....this also solves another problem i had since day one, never thought my headlights were bright enough for me at night, now ill have to take some night rides to see, starting tomorrow night

are they brighter than the center lights?
To me they are but then i order this kit with new LED bulbs also, replacing LED bulbs in the center that are there already........i still havent had a chance to go out at night on the roads near me that i know are dark to see how FAR THE BEAM is thrown from this new set up, just because they are bright to your eyes doesnt mean nothing if the road in front of you isn't lit up

No. I'm in SC.
Not going to let em go so soon until my confidence in these new lights perform as stated
