My Alpha side exhaust blew up on the way to Maggie Valley. I'm hoping that @Jeff Welter gets one done soon or I think I'll be going with the Bassani and the down pipe. We put the OEM pot belly in for now but I'm not dealing with that much longer.

Welter removed my Uptone at Maggie last week. Don’t know what they did with it. If they didn’t scrap it you might be able to dig it out of the scrap heap. Warning, it’s LOUD.

@pricejh61, that's where we dug out the OEM

Man I would've liked that!
And it would have been @Tripods...

@maverick5990 hey a little duct tape and that thing is as good as new! Can't believe you let a few minor cracks like that bother you

If you can't fix it with duct tape, you're not using enough duct tape!

It got swapped out last Saturday afternoon. I lost a couple of HP going to the Sidewinder. But, the noise level in the cockpit is way down. From 105 dB to a more reasonable 90 or so at speed.

@maverick5990I know exactly what you going through, I had my alpha blow up in Kerrville used coat hanger just to get home. Put 1320 exhaust on then had my muffler guy put pipe up inside frame and out the alpha hole think it is bout 82 dB in cabin. Worked for me for 150$ . You might look at that. I hated the watermelon original not to mention heat.
Mine was in three pieces when got home after 3 hour ride. Good luck on yours
JUST SAYIN -
Bassani side exhaust was installed this evening along with their cat delete pipe. It was after dark when we took it out so I will try to get video tomorrow. First impressions, all I can say is WOW! Feels like more power than I had with the Alpha but I really didn't go far tonight as it was late and I was beat. We did have to cut a new hole in front of the existing Alpha location but it is not noticeable at all. It has a better growl than the Alpha and at this short stage I am very pleased.

Very interested in seeing the video and the sound. the wife and I both like the sound we’ve herd in the one video we found....
-
Well I can't figure out how to take a video on my phone that actually reflects the true sound. Let me just say that my wife is happy with it. Growls when you get on it and is quiet when cruising. She wants the Sling to sound more like a bike than a car and she is happy with it. She is on that side and hasn't said anything bad about it. I like it too. It is a different sound than the Alpha, but is spring mounted so the vibration issue that kills the Alpha is gone. It doesn't use the same hole as before but it is not noticeable at all. If you are installing after the other brand, you will need the springs (5 2" extension springs from Lowe's) and the exhaust seal (#3610211). You will also need the Bassani down pipe (or another cat delete pipe) leaving the pipe totally open and allowing the engine to breath. After installing the OEM exhaust to get by, it sure was nice to get the zip back that it had taken away.

@maverick5990... How much did it cost?
-
More than I really wanted to pay! But I was back in a stock muffler and down pipe with the cat. Power really sucked and the heat!!!

Dennis Kirt is local(1.5h or so) so I might stop by this weekend unless a Honey-Do-List is handed to me, they have a nice "outlet" where you can always find a lot of deals on stuff for two wheelers.

Hi Maverick. Sent you a message as I had a couple questions about the Bassani side exit and downpipe.
Hope you are going to Maggie Valley in May so I could hear it in person before biting the bullet on it!
