Watch out on Goodyear trailer tires also..Most are very good but it depends where they are made. Myself and several neighbors had a lot of problems with the Goodyear trailer tires made in China..Common theme--I think they put Chinese drywall in them.
Just don't ever buy General. I used to make steel cord at Bekaert. We sold to Goodyear, General, and others. Even made cord for Z rated tires for Goodyear. They allowed 3 welds in a 62,500 meter spool. General allowed 1 per 150 meters. Had 13 Generals with tread separation prior to working there. Never bought another.
Actually, all of my draft trailers have Schooner tires on them. (fleet gets them because of the cost) They have lasted very well. Much longer than the Carlisle tires that they came with. I've been surprised.
