You will have to talk to DDM. I was the test idiot for the setup.

Can someone explain? I plan on supercharging this winter. I have a 2015 with v1 1320 header and cat delete into stock muffler. If I keep the stock muffler, I only gain 50% more hp. Why does the stock muffler affect the hp gain so much?

On the stock muffler we have to run a larger pulley on the supercharger, which lowers boost and power to a level that the engine can survive with the stock exhaust setup.

What about the new R&D side exhaust exit Muffler any difference from stock?

Also there is another cat. inside the stock muffler, but it is easy to bypass

Haven't seen the new R&D side exhaust yet, I also can not find anything showing the exhaust size outlet. I'll send a message over to Slingmods and see what I can find out.

ok thx.. waiting for black Friday deal before purchasing supercharger. I'm 72 and living off the Gov't ssi, so any savings is a good thing

I want to say they are running just a 2'' pipe, but was considering trying a 2.5 for boosted guys and gals, but I could be wrong

No one has mentioned it yet, but how would it handle a trailer hitch for small tag along trailer?
Asking for a friend!

I don't think that would be a problem if you drive it right while pulling a trailer lol. I will let you know when I get mine on.

Guys you really want a 2.5 pipe coming out. You “can” do the supercharge with stock, but it limits you a lot. 1320 gives you the header you need, but I would consider an exhaust upgrade at the same time. Just my thoughts.

I don't need a ton of horsepower If I gain a hundred that will be more than enough for me. I would like 2.5 but I just don't care for the pipes going up the back of the sling and don't like the option coming out of the back side exhaust exit either. Really like the Thermal r&d but that's just 2". Would the 2" be better than stock with the supercharger?
-
No, from my understanding it's about the same, not better. If you want to stick with a 2" or stock, DDM has a larger pulley for the supercharger, it lowers the HP of course, but will accomodate the restrictive exhaust.
Or, if you don't want to do that, go with a vacuum powered exhaust dump, it's what I have on my turbo. Even with 2.5", it's still too restrictive for boost I'm pushing, so it opens up when I need it. Other times, my exhaust is quiet as a mouse

Link to exhaust dump you have?

Like wokka said above, we treat a stock exhaust and a 2" exhaust the same when setting up the supercharger kit. Both of those setups would get the 110mm pulley when we ship the kit and we have been doing a lot of those lately for people that installed the 2" Welter or R&D exhaust and do not want to change out the system. The supercharger kit and those setups still gain about 50% power over stock and gives the Slingshot a nice kick in the pants.
Let us know if there is anything else we can answer about that,
