When I was stationed in GTMO I painted my Dodge pickup camo using a paint brush.
GTMO? When, and what MOS?

Roadhawg July 81 to July 84. Aviation Electronic Chief. I was on the NAS side but lived at Knob Hill. Done a lot of fishing at Water Gate. Played a lot of golf and snorkeled a lot.
A little before my time. I trained many of the Army interrogators that were there during the surge in 2007.
Not trying to derail the thread. I'm actually working on a project as we speak... lol
My high school sophomore soldering skills are finally paying off...
Finally got the new speakers in this week...
Rear deck speakers will arrive next week...
All the pre-wiring for power and signal is done. I should have it all back together by next weekend.
A bit of a pain getting the stuffing to stay where you want it while putting the subs in.
BRAVE!
When I installed my double din on the 2016 having the dash look like a Grays
Anatomy episode was sobering. Thankfully it went back ok and WORKED!.
I always though the cubby under the roll bars was a missed opportunity. Great little storage spot if it had a secret door and key or something.
Good luck gettin' her all back together!

I had some issues when sub was in with that wiring. Kept making it unplug where red/black oem plug is. I pulled that red/black oem plug for that reason, so semi ported now lol
Yeah, I'm having the same problem. That's why they're being soldered, like everything else.

I was using the space under the pax side hump to store a small tool bag, and I thought that was pretty convenient, but you're right, having to remove those two torx screws just to get to it was kind of a pain. I won't mind sacrificing that space in exchange for greater sound.
Using the receiver in my garage for a quick test of the subs before I screw them down. Eureka! They're both pumping to John Cougar Mellencamp at the moment... 😄
It hurts so good...

Actually, "Ain't that America"... lol
All done and ready to go under the dash. The scariest part of the whole ordeal was, first piloting all 16 of those stupid holes and then driving the screws in with my electric drill. Hence,16 opportunities for catastrophy to strike... lol
Look what just arrived... 😁
Well, its not really a mod, but I did change the oil and filter today also checked and topped ogg all the other fluids - - - greased the U-Joint and sway bar mounts last weekend
Yea - - I know - - - not very exciting, but still very important, got to keep Cage Free ready at all times - - - - especially with another hot summer of riding right around the corner
As a side note I still say the Slingshot has to be just about the easiest vehicle to do oil changes on that I have ever owned - - especially with the Fumoto oil drain valve
Well been working on mounting a mount for my Garmin camera. I have a box of parts around here some where that has all kinds of mounts but haven't seen it in years. I put it on the post on the dash but there is a lot of vibration there as the dash plate flexes a lot. Looking at putting it on the roll hoop on the passenger side. Got to find that box of part first.
3GunSteve I need help. Have the sub installed and the JL Audio MX300 amp hooked up, but my question is, where does the amp get its signal input from? There are RCA jacks on the amp, but the Ride Command doesn't have an RCA output to connect them to. So, how did you wire yours up? Can you explain? Thanks in advane and if anyone else knows what I'm talking about, I'd appreciate the advice.
This might help you by tapping/soldering into your left/right speakers

Unfortunately, feeding the speaker outputs from the stock unit to the amp's audio inputs will not work very well. This Goodle search has answers - https://www.google.com/search?…KwKHUgtB1oQ4dUDCAg&uact=5
Got my exhaust done, now to just paint it, also installed some QA1 on the front seems to have a lot better ride for sure. now alinement and all should be good to go.
