@No Brains, be a little patient for your answer. A lot of the members are in the Smokies right now. It's not that they are simply neglecting to answer your request right now...they are living it up and gaining new knowledge of mods to bring back to all of us. Those that are left, will surely come to your rescue...as far as an answer, real soon. Truth be told, I wouldn't mind finding out the answer to your question, as well.

It's held on with 2 screws - piece of cake...

@No Brains. Been a while since I did mine but if memory serves. Don't remember if screw or torx fasteners, but there are two. One at each end of the horizontal grill. Remove them then slide the grill left or right and it comes out. The grill has four long slots in it and the nose piece contains the tabs. Easy.
And we are enjoying ourselves at SSITS 2016. Taking a cool off break right now.

Yep. 2 t-25 screws
-
They are easy to strip out being plastic, I reinstall my with a t-25 bit on a socket and NO ratchet. Just hand tighten is all it needs.
-
Easy to access by laying on the ground and taking the torx out from below.

When I took mine off to change it I noticed the screws were loose. I put the new one on and realized your putting metal screws into plastic. So I took those screws out and got a little bigger self tapping screw the same length just fatter. I put those in and check it periodically. No problems with it coming loose. But its easy to change.

Dont get crazy and crank them down they will strip out.

I left the SS on the ground when I took off my grill. Scratched the hell out of my hands and arms. When I put the grill on I put the SS on ramps and it went on real easy.

Thanks for all of your help. I'm glad I found this forum.
