I'm not 100% sure but someone should do step by step guide on changing gear oil ?

Its pretty simple, lay on your back and reach under. Put a catch under it, let it drain by removing the drain plug on the rear side and remove the fill plug on the drivers side. Clean and install drain plug, buy a $10 hand pump that screws on your oil bottle and pump the new oil in until it runs out the fill plug. Then install the fill plug.

less then a QT...use this, makes it easy and clean..:) when fluid just starts to drip from top fill plug.STOP!

23.7 oz. Open fill plug first, then drain plug. Pump slowly, slowly, slowly....don't put hose straight in fill hole, do at an angle to hole. Just my observation.

agreed...open fill plug first,,in case you strip drain plug at least you can fill it.:)

Thanks guys.

How many quarts does it take @WingShot ?
As said above 1 qt will do it, it wont take it all. It is a good tip the first time to take the fill plug out before you take the drain plug out, like Hogg says if you drain it and then cant get the fill plug off, you wont be able to fill it. I didn't have any trouble with mine and changed it a couple times. The first change will have lots of black sludge on the drain plug, that's normal.

all oil is the same.....it depends on who paid for the testing to get the results they want....
In other words....who can you trust? The deepest pockets have the best oil....
