Got a dbl din kit on order as well as a Pioneer AVHX4800BS with bypass kit and rearview camera for my base model. I noticed there's an open plug with 2 wires to it labelled (BU) in the infotainment cubby hole. Does it by any chance mean "backup" or is it something else..thx

to my knowledge its the power for backup camera . But i could be wrong ... you can search for @WraithSS writeup for backup camera . If you will be following that you wont need to use the stock/factory wire . thanks

And the insurance companies rejoice ..... I can hear your rates going up from here ..... confused-squared

Shit foremost will kill me again by increasing the premium...

Can't agree with you on that @Shack - a LOT of folks will die if the government fails and only the strong survive. IMO if it were to come to that the Civil War would look like a school yard fist fight. We DEFINITELY need change but peacefully thru rule of law!

Very well said .. agree with you 100%

    Thanks for

Yup that was my project for the 4 of july ... yeah you should ... and how much did you buy the RGB for .. because if you see my other pics on the same thread i got the RGB for 40 $

If you want to enjoy the ride ... this what i recommend:
    1) Shocks - single adjustable form QA1 buy them from online store you can buy pair for 600$ max i got the double adjustable for 900$
    2) brakes
2.5) Second thing stereo ... not rims because stock or SL both rims and tire can do for you at least this summer
    3) Leds and making it fancier + air intake and exhaust
    4) Rims and tire .. the only reason i suggest in last is because tires and rim will give you performance but .... they can be put on hold because slingshot rims and tire gives you the same performance ..

I hope there is no more money left in the bank ... by doing all these mods ..

Follow the wire from the latch assy. for the seat belt to the plug behind and under the drivers seat. Unplug the connector and then strip the insulation off of a short piece of wire ( maybe 2 inch long ) and push the ends of the stripped wire into the plug/connector that goes towards the dash. Be sure that this is the wire from the seat belt latch. I put a ty-rap around mine to keep the wire from unplugging and grounding out. If you have done this correctly the seat belt light will not be on when the ignition switch is turned on.[/quote]Dude please attach pictures as that will help me ...

have you decided which brand to go for like pioneer or kenwood ? Do you have price range in mind ? most of the double din do require minor to major dash modification.

E.g. i just insatlled avh 4100 nex with weather proof double din cover , i was not able see anything in day time until i applied screen protector and now i can see somewhat ... the installation require modification to the entire inner dash and outter dash !!

Like the CF dual tip and the video sounds good however several side exit exhaust... including Alpha's original test design ..... exited in that location ...but it was found the low pressure behind the fender sucked the exhaust fumes right into the passenger compartment ......

    .

And that is why i opted out for the side exhaust option and went with adjustable exhaust :)

Motorcycles are only allowed three headlights. We're already over with four, but six would get the wrong kind of attention

I installed Canadian lights a month back, i was pulled over by cops not on 6 lights on at the same time + HIDS on all 6 but for loud musics ... so the point is most of the cops dont get in that much detail.. so getting a ticket on light i have not heard off ... i havent heard any one getting a ticket on 6 headlights !! BUT AGAIN I COULD BE WRONG :)

Broke three screw lock plastic while changing the exhaust now the screw just sit these but do not tighten up i will suggest take everything out take your time .. and when putting back everything together make sure you tighten the screw by hand first and then you tighten them up with what ever you have .

Sorry @Br4hm4, it was a joke about how high taxes are there. In all seriousness, you shouldn't have to pay the VAT (Value Added Tax) since you're outside the EU. But even then, I still think it'll be over $3,000. Makes the $1,500 Walter Performance Exhaust seem like a bargain.

I'm still not sold on the viability of these rear-exit exhausts. They say you only smell the exhaust until it's broken in, but to me, that means you're still smelling exhaust fumes, they're just slightly cleaner. The aerodynamics of the Slingshot seem to pull air from the rear into the cabin. Until that gets fixed, my exhaust stays in the front (even though the rear exit exhausts look AWESOME!).

i have the alpha power sports adjustable one and believe it or not i don't smell that many fumes ... even if its on beast mode ... I think fumes is an issue for those who have sensitive smell
