Was supposed to rain all damn day here but only started a few mins ago. Oh well got my Hot Tube setup and filled, warming up now, Then add the chemicals to adjust PH and should be ready to soak in tomorrow. Hopefully that will help with the back and neck pain. Not bad go to Myrtle Beach Bike Week and come home with a Hot Tub. LOL

My hood pins will stay in the box until I find someone to install. I can do all my own wiring and bolt-ons but I'm not willing to drill my hood myself

Chicken!! With Phil’s instructions you can do it. He has the best detail instructions that I have ever seen. YOU CAN DO IT.

I have heard his instructions are top notch. I may attempt it. I've got some serious slingshot issues that have to be addressed first. But I think after I read to the instructions a few times to get it in my head, I'll give it a try. I want those buttons on!
Peg, once you get it down, I'll come pay you to install mine

Mine are going in tomorrow!
It just occurred to me that hood pins for the Slingshot wouldn't be really needed because the way that the hood opens, which is like a Corvette. So if you were going to do legit hood pins to keep it down, the pins would be near the driver and passenger and not towards the front. Or am I thinking of something backwards here?

It's just to keep the front sides from flapping. You must have noticed them on the highway going up and down with the wind.
Yes, I've seen them wiggle around a bit when hit with a side wind that is true. But there wouldn't be any danger of the hood actually opening since it would have to open against the force of the wind.
That being said, I've always thought functional hood pins were fun.
Yeah, these are not to hold the hood secure, just keep the fenders from flapping so much. Some slings tend to flap more than others.

If all the latches are not securely latched, yep the hood can fly open believe it or not!
