For those of you whom have not met our 12 year old Chihuahua Lacey, she just wanted to let you know how rough her last four weeks have been...
It all started when she quit eating and after a couple of days of this we were concerned our time with her might soon be coming to an end. So after a trip to the animal clinic and a 24 hour stay in an incubator and several meds later she still was not eating. The vet said she had congestive heart disease and we might have better luck getting her to eat if she was at home. Luckily the meds helped in controlling this problem and within a couple weeks she was almost back to normal. Then came the fall when she misjudged the height from the stool to the bed due to the low light level and her cataracts. So again she refused to eat, or bark and was afraid to be near anyone or anything for that matter. So after a couple X-rays it seems the fall has broken her jaw and we were told she probably wouldn't survive surgery but if we could just get her to eat her brittle bones just might heal. That was about a week and a half ago and after a lot of pain meds and meals from a blender she just wants everyone to know "She ain't afraid of no broken bones" -

When I die and come back as a dog or a cat I am looking for your house! Now tell the truth did ya slip her some shine for the pain?

Thanks for the kind words @MACAWS I'm pretty sure I'm marrying a reincarnated Ellie Mae. -
I feel with you I grew up with cats and dog my hole live, I still remember most of there names. My cats name when I was Jung was "Bowle" German. The last dog we had was a great Dane "Blue" and after he got sick there was no way (money or anything) to help. Still miss him, he was with my kits when they where little the best companion and I used to travel a lot worldwide. My Barbie did not need any protection because he was there.

I can only say one thing
There is no love truer that the love of a dog.
Their eyes tell it all!
If people had or should I say used half of that love - there would be piece in the world. -
Amen brother, You got 'dat right.
