So I was having issues potty training this one so she slept in the kennel at night. I got fed up with this kennel BS decided to see if the kennel was the problem……she’s now slept on the big bed at home and the Semi no accidents. My next run I’m no longer taking the kennel so let’s see how it goes.

So an update on that last post…….WOW was I right the kennel was the problem I’ve never had such a good feeling as today. No accidents home or truck for 5 days and no kennel woooohoooooooo

So I’m not used to a dog that can reach counters…….yup so a cowboy ribeye getting to room temp leave for 5 minutes my new pup ate probably good 5oz lol. So now 24hrs later she gets the runs. Dummy me doesn’t think anything about it and takes her to bed like normal. Short story my house is spotless but what a shitty day.

HeHeHe - Yep, I have a 100+ pound German Shepard dog and he can reach anything on the kitchen counter unless you push it to the back against the wall. - - One time a few years back my wife had some steaks on the counter defrosting and we were going to make a quick run to the store. I told my wife "you better push those steaks back" - - she replied - "what, don't you trust your dog?" - - - I said "Oh, I absolutely trust him - - I trust him to be a dog!"
Over the years we have messed up a few times and trust me - Bolt wont only eat 5oz - once he gets it you might as well forget about it
But on th bright side - it doesn't seem to give him the shits

Protecting me from Amazon all day long.... This was the delivery pic the Amazon person took to verify delivery....

My lab Zoe all 106 pounds of her starts to bark as soon as the Amazon man gets half way down the driveway she bark and heads his way. He panics and stops and she she stands and wants a head pat.

Check the local shelter...

Checking the local shelters around here and you will find Pit Bulls that their first owner found was a bad idea for a family pet.

We did find our Baily at a shelter. So glad we could find him the home he so very much deserves and thanks us for every day, multiple times. Many Pit Bulls are wonderful. But yes, we also saw your same observation.
Thanks for looking good luck. I hope they outlaw those puppy mills. We have local pet supply stores like pet smart that have showings on weekends so you can see the dogs in neutral environments and get a great idea of how they interact with strange people and other animals.

Not all dogs in the shelters are good pets, lots are. Year and half ago mu son got a young Belgian Malinois from a shelter...somebody had dropped off a litter of 15. They had over a 1000 people want one and took apps for them... My son trains dogs and is well known in that community --- put in an app and had first choice of the pups. He now has one that is 4 years old and the new pup that he is training .... he will keep them both. Just saying there are some good dogs out there.

Pets are like slingshots/motorcycles. The house and garage are strangely empty without them.
