Conservative Politics & Daily Events Discussion

  • Mike in Victoria BC - I think what Funinthesun was pointing out all the “immigrants” are flooding in everywhere and do not want to assimilate into American society but transform it into their political or religious beliefs. I would like you to give me a list of Americans or Canadians for that matter in the governments of Pakistan, Iran, Iraq, Syria in their government telling them how America knows better wanting to transform them. Could be your head might be history over there - here we put em in office giving them a seat at the table - how stupid are we???

I might not be right but I can sure sound like it

  • Shame on you, unless you feel the same about every religion?

I certainly hope you're not donating to a political party or volunteering with a charity... that would make you just as bad as them!

    .

Firstly ..... so Muslims are "Bad" ..... isn't saying that, even its not what you meant, a felony in your country ..... please report to sensitivity training ASAP ..... ;)

B - Shame on anyone who doesn't agree that you have the right to disagree but should never have the right to discourage or prevent anyone from openly expressing their opinion .....

    3. Because Islam dictates all aspects of religion, politics, and society it is is direct opposition to the idea of American freedom. Anyone who accepts any US office and claims to follow Islamic beliefs is committing blasphemy. It is impossible to follow both the teachings of the Quran and also uphold and protect the US Constitution. Their direct opposition and expressing such is not "racist, but simple fact. This was explained to me by a religious leader while in Somalia.

  • No Mike, I don't feel this way toward all religions. Just the ones that spread terrorism and kill in the name of their religion -a group who was responsible for the murdering of almost 3,000 innocent people in one day and the lack of condemnation from their religion for their actions. And their actions draining over $2.8 trillion of taxpayers money that could have been used to do so many positive things here at home. You don't have to worry as I don't see me running for public office any time soon

Christianity has worse actions in it's past. The Catholic church, not too long ago, would move child molesting priest to a different church rather than persecute or excommunicate them. I'm sure you can find it in your heart to feel the same towards Christianity.;)

Firstly - Orangeman were the men in the Trojan horse viewed as "bad" by those they attacked?

Secondly("B")- Saying, "shame on you" doesn't prevent a person from speaking their opinion. Some opinions are shameful and should be called out as such and discouraged. If you recall, the U.S. very much disliked the "opinions" of Adolf Hitler and we strongly discouraged that hate speech.

Thirdly("3")- You sound as if you would disregard the constitution's "freedom of religion" to protect the constitution. Brilliant!

Christians of all faiths go against their religions daily. From small to big offenses. Same for Jewish and Muslim people and all other religious followers. Heck, the 911 bombers had porn all over in their apartment, against the Muslim faith. Catholic priests, not just followers, are raping children. Politicians of many faiths can be seen going against their faith in their words and actions daily. Many Christians are the biggest hypocrites around, calling out all Muslims because of actions of the few and preaching brotherly love and acceptance as they stand proudly above, preaching down to another person.

  • I kinda get what your sayin - EVERYBODY sins....HOWEVER —- when is the last time you saw a Christiian, Jew, basically any other religion other than Islam hold signs like this

and have done it!! Don’t ever think we don’t already have em here in the US with the same ideology!!

I might not be right but I can sure sound like it

"A Christian or Jew" singular, everyday for varying reasons. Most people were raised under some faith. The actions of a few individuals, even if that "few" numbers in the thousands is not a reflection of the entire religion, but a splinter cell of extremists.

  • Every religion has had horrible things done in the name of that religion, Organized religions are run by men and as such they are subject to every fault and every sin that man is capable of.

Having said this the sins committed in the name of one religion should not be used as a way to excuse the sins being committed in the name of another religion. And the sins committed in the name of a religion should not be laid at the feet of every follower of that religion.

I also believe that profiling is a good tool to prevent terrorism and if 99% of the people committing terrorist acts happen to have a particular look then we would be wise to give people with that look extra scrutiny at places that are higher risk of terrorist attack - - I think we waste too much time and energy pulling aside and searching people like little old grandpa's and grandma's in an attempt to look politically correct when that effort could better be used elsewhere

“Splinter cell of extremists” ??? Have you heard of ISIS and the jihad??? I think this guy would DEFINITELY disagree with you...

  • I think a part of the problem is the islamic leaders in the middle east do not seem to be condemning the acts of terror that these groups commit - sure you might here some leaders in the U.K or U.S. denounce it, but the really high up leaders in Pakistan, Iran, Syria or Iraq have they stood up and taken stand against this?

I could have missed it so if they have please show me, because being at the hart of the center of where Islam originated and remaining silent is pretty much the same as an endorsement

  • Ummm, thousands among almost 2 billion = no room to disagree.

I dunno about you but thousands is enough I don’t want em running the convenience store down the road from me.......CRAP.....now that I think about it - too late :00008172:

  • Broad generalizations and grouping extremists in with whole groups is never good.

New Zealand, Canadian Baptist church... There are many examples of extreme right wing nationalists, part of the larger conservative/Republican party committing horrendous acts. Shall we group them in with you guys and consider you to be like minded? No, because you aren't those wack jobs, lost souls, they are individuals within a much larger group.

Nancy Pelosi says something, AOC says something and you guys group all democrats in with them. You hardly ever say "she wants to do", it's almost always "the democrats want to do".

I know there are horrible, evil, stupid people in every group. The majority within most groups are friendly, helpful, loving, giving, law abiding, smart or brilliant people just trying to get through this thing called life. Humanity is lost when people lose sight of that.

  • Agreed. Buy why do most of those have to have jobs in politics?

    Nobody gets outta here ALIVE

  • Agreed. Buy why do most of those have to have jobs in politics?

Probably because they didn't feel well represented and took it upon themselves to to help themselves and their community. Sure your list looked long. If you look at the percentage of Muslim representatives vs all representatives and US Muslim population vs entire population, that list is probably in need of more muslim representatives to equal.

  • I’ll give you that and I believed that until that small faction killed 3000 Innocent Americans one day in September long ago. It just takes one of this “small faction” to smuggle in a dirty bomb and murder unknown thousands again. Guess that is what it will take to make some realize open borders might not be such a good idea...
