Well, i still have a decent amount of money invested in Cryptos. When there are big banks and institutions investing millions in crypto you have to know realize they are up to something and know that its the future. Even Fidelity is going to incorporate cryptocurrency investments. This is the era of digital and with digital will come digital currencies as well and everything will change as know it in the next 10-20 years. This is still a very early stage for cryptocurrencies in general. In 15-20 years those of us that had spare money to throw in it will hopefully be reaping the big rewards.

I have a LOT of faith in cryptocurrencies.

One huge solar flare generated EMP or God forbid a nuclear EMP - - - - and then where are the digital assets and the records about who had what?

Personally I am just not comfortable relying on computers and technology to hold and / or store assets - - its bad enough that we rely on them to store most financial records, but at least that can and is backed up with physical paper records.

Think about it - - if we ever get into a serious conflict with another major power what is going to be the first thing they attack? - - - I would bet our grid and digital infrastructure are pretty high on the list

I know all investments have risks in a digital world, just seems to me that with crypto you are literally putting all of the eggs (both the records and the assets themselves) in one basket

It's an election so only two things are guaranteed. The polls will be wrong and anything can happen.

I find how close the House races are in NY and CA to be the most interesting thing of this cycle.

An administrator in the official FTX Telegram channel wrote that "Ftx has been hacked."

That administrator told users not to visit the FTX site "as it might download Trojans."

Reuters, citing two people familiar with the matter, reported that at least $1 billion of customer funds had disappeared and that people told the news outlet that Bankman-Fried had secretly transferred $10 billion of customer funds from FTX to his trading company Alameda Research.

"Following the Chapter 11 bankruptcy filings – FTX US and FTX [dot] com initiated precautionary steps to move all digital assets to cold storage. Process was expedited this evening – to mitigate damage upon observing unauthorized transactions," FTX U.S. general counsel Ryne Miller tweeted.

Spreadsheets reportedly showed that between $1 to $2 billion dollars of the funds were not accounted for among Alameda's assets and that the spreadsheets did not indicate where the money was moved.

"We didn't secretly transfer," he said. "We had confusing internal labeling and misread it."

When asked about the missing funds, Bankman-Fried responded: "???"

In the eighth district the R candidate is behind (48.4% to 47.7% with almost 4% of other votes going to libertarian) by 2k votes with 98% reported and has conceded.... Boebert is only ahead by 1100 votes, which will trigger a recount... Boebert has not been a good representative for that area, but she is fun to listen to... Lots of grandstanding.... kinda like Green...

I don't get why it is taking a week to count votes.... the machine is broken... it doesn't work anymore...

This shows just how messed up it all is... In Colorado's 28th district the person who was the choice for the D candidate decided they didn't want to play as it were so they threw another lady in (which I have known for over 30 years) listed her as a labor leader (she was a union steward, and a union area rep) and she won the election easily over the R candidate who is a Marine and had been on the ballot the whole time. She won just because she is in a blue district... That is what is wrong with elections now... And as was pointed out earlier a person who died a month before the election was elected... just because people pick a color and not a person.

around here the vote is also taking a long time to count - - they say the reason is mostly because of the mail in / absentee ballots which can be mailed as late as the Election Day which clearly means they dont even get there for 1 or 2 days

Personally I think they should require mail in and absentee ballots to arrive by Election Day - - we got our mail in ballots weeks before the election there really is no excuse for waiting until Election Day to mail them - if you want to wait until Election Day then you should be required to vote in person - JMO

I have a plan!

For all of those no oil and gas people protesting all over the world now I suggest this;

let’s have a sign-up sheet for all that do not want oil so that the local power companies can immediately shut off the electricity and gas and heating oil to their homes. I sense an immediate drop in CO2 emissions globally.

Then as their greatest service is yet to come! They can show us how to heat and cool and run our homes with the alternative energy and products that I’m sure they have on hand already to employ. AND all of the natural products they will use in clothing to keep them warm.

It’s a win-win! 😎

so true. Works on both sides the same though. Herschel should have no chance except for the fact he is R and people will vote for him just because of that. He is a waste of space as a politician. Same with MTG (who should disappear), and Lake (who it looks like will lose, but close).

Wish the Repubs would put in as MTG say “quality candidates”. Kind of ironic that she made that comment. 🤣
