There is a side of me that wonders what it would be like to live in a swing state and to actually get out and try to influence voters to see the light.

When I arrived in my union job. It was vocally, highly frowned upon to vote Republican. I convinced many that it is ok to vote for the person you like. I always vote for who I think is best for the, City, County, State or Country, regardless of party.
Many of them now vocally, highly frown upon voting Democrat.
My talks worked to an extent. I just wish they didn't get out of one ditch just to end up in another ditch. Oh well.
The only person that I looked forward to voting for is (R) John James for Senate. I voted for him last round, but he didn't win.
As for Trump, I will be giving him the, " We appreciate your interest in the position. Your resume is impressive, however at this moment we are looking for a person with more experience in the this field. We encourage you to look at some of our other positions".

looking at what Trump has accomplished in his 3.5 years, with all the distraction caused by the Dems, I would not consider him dumb. Personally I think he is a ass, but an effective president. If he had the easy tasks the Obama failed at many more would want him to continue.

When I look at all the police shootings although I think some of them we're not warranted most if not all of them have the victim not obeying police commands . If they obey the police commands then there would be no problem.

The man shot (Jacob Blake) by police in Kenosha has admitted to having a knife. The police tried non-lethal force first, using a stun gun. Blake had a warrant out for him for several charges, including criminal trespass, domestic abuse and third-degree sexual assault.

actually not sure that comparison works - as states go California is the no 7 most environmentally friendly State
But, actually what we are having right now is rolling power blackouts - - in the States attempt to get most of our power from renewable / clean sources they rushed to shut down the gas fired power plants - we now dont produce enough of our own power to cover the extra needs of a heat wave and if that heat wave covers the other states we rely on to give us extra power that our "clean" sources cant provide we are shit out of luck
yep - our liberal politicians were too short sighted to realize that wind and solar cant do everything without storage and of course the didnt build any storage before they took the gas plants off line

so do you blame that on lack of respect for the law or ignorance of the law or defiance of the law. Whatever it is...it gets you killed. How many lessons do you have to see to get the message? Obey the law....when a cop interacts with you, respect them and comply. The life you save may be your own. Too much rap music rots your brain. They actually start believing all that crap. You can’t Always blame a cop for doing his job. I’m smart enough to know things that could increase my odds of being Seriously hurt or killed. Respect should be taught at home, in church, in school. Aretha sang about it.....obviously only law abiding citizens bought the record...For everybody else it was a waste of time. when you only want respect and don’t want to give it....you’ll have a problem.
