Today I will spend a few minutes thinking about my brothers and sisters in arms, the ones who never made it back, and the ones who may have made it home but continue to be haunted and hunted by the ghosts they created and have lost their lives in other ways. Today isn't about me, it's about the patriots who sacrificed to give us the freedom to celebrate this day, and our way of life. Until Valhalla, Warriors. Your legends are forever.

Not just cause I'm layin on your couch - drinking your bourbon I'm sayin this .... BUT .... it's Americans like you that put your country first keeping us all safe is what our country has been, and will always be based on.

I still mourn... mainly for the families (but I do miss my friends who've made the greatest sacrifice).
So, I decided to head out this morning for a long ride down to the lake and reflect (alone). Remembered the good times and then crying for them ~> Sure that may be wrong and/or foolish, but I don't care... I feel better for having done it. Which is something I'm sure they'd want.

I'm sure they would, but I think (if I may) that something they'd want more is that you share with the younger generations the importance of good citizenship, self-sacrifice, and love for our way of life. Our freedoms aren't free, and maintaining them isn't easy. Our way of life demands hard thinking and hard decisions, and the courage to stand behind them. That's what I think they would want, to know that they didn't die in vain.
