I've seen some floor mats that have plastic clips attached at the rear of the mat...what are they for and what do they attach to?
Floor mat question

You get the snaps when you purchase the mats from SLINGSHOTONLY. You screw the male part of the snap into the floor of the Slingshot. They hold the floor mat in place.
-
You can also ignore the snaps and use velcro to secure the mats...

if anyone would like to PM me about floor mats I would love to hear about what you have and like about them or what you don't. I have an idea for something I want and would like some more feedback.

I'm looking at black indoor outdoor carpeting... Marine backing no mildew.. And a whole lot cheaper... The straps are probably to keep them from blowing out of the vehicle while you're driving...
-
No, straps are like @av8ingtom stated... To hold in place on the driver's side because they slid up due to your feet pressure...
Sorry @sideseatdriver for not sending the button snaps! I have them in the garage if you need them...
@Ruptured Duck... Your ideas always intrigue me... I have the carpet mats I posted above... I love them! But... Where my right heel usually rests, it's beginning to wear... Or at least be noticeable that's where my heels rests... Would like something more durable and piping that doesn't stain so easily...
But... What are you thinking?!?

Two words; skateboard tape. Nothing slides on skateboard tape.

I purchased my floor mats from Slingshotonly. Great floor mats made out of a marine grade closed cell foam. I am not 100% sure, but I have the same type of material on the swim platform of my boat. It is made by SeaDek, and I would not be surprised if the Slingshot mats were made by them for Slingshotonly.
I would prefer something a little softer feeling under my feet, but they would have to be water proof and resist staining. I love the mats I have, but just wish they had a little more cushion.

@Bigdog I cut mats to fit the front floor on the drivers side and passenger side out of that material. It's served it's purpose and has worked for 2years. It will start to rub through at your heel. It was really inexpensive to make. Use paper or cardboard to make your pattern then transfer it to the rug.
