Called and left voicemail. I will let you guys know when I hear back. I believe this may be the perfect setup. I've always had two screens for the bikes for different seasons as I ride year round. Super excited about the prospect of have the same bonus to the sling.

understand that they are slammed, trying to keep up with the stinger orders. If you don'y hear from them by tomorrow- try again......

You can order just the 7" windscreen from them without any hardware pretty cheap. Just call them and ask for a price. I got the impression they just made up a price for me when I did it and it was cheap.

Looking at Madstads site is shows the top of the stock shield sits 5" above the top of the dash. Does anyone know what the 7" madstad set in the lowest position is at?

sorry- someone else with a 7" will have to measure.......my slingshot is not home........

Just measuring based on the pic on SM of the 11" in lowest position it looks like it would likely be 3.5-4" above the dash. Again that's purely from using the ruler in the pic to get 4" scale, measuring down the windshield 4" and then perpendicular back the vertical ruler. It falls about 3.75" but I'm giving adequate room for error as it's just a picture

Going through all my e-mails back and forth with Madstad:
The 9 inch blade, when it is in its lowest position, sits 5 inches above the highest point on the dash. That is measuring with the ruler flat against the highest point on the dash and straight up in the air. It would be 2 inches higher, when raised to the maximum height. With that being said, when in its lowest position, the 7 inch blade should sit just over 3 inches above the highest point on the dashboard, and just over 5 inches when at its maximum height. I went with the 7 inch, so that when I raised it as high as possible, for maximum airflow in the summer, I would still be clearly looking over the windscreen. I Hope that helps.

Winner winner chicken dinner! Thanks, that is what I needed to know.

Great now I really want a 7" blade. This may be the first time ever that I wasn't wishing for an extra two inches.

There may be something to that old adage! -
Thanks for all the help. I picked up the 9" and could not be happier. I can talk with the wife now

Very true my friend. I have found though that if I get into the throttle the mechanical sounds pick up along with my smile and my better half quiets down. It's what I like to call a win-win!

Grammatical error---should read "I can listen to my wife now"
