I followed @gpcustoms lead and decided that it was time to eliminate the flappy fenders. At 110+ mph the fenders catch so much air that the front starts to lift and gets kinda sketchy....not to mention the fenders flap around and looks really shitty.
This is a simple mod yet in my opinion worth every penny! The under side of the hood looks like the engineers at Polaris were thinking of doing this from the get go until the head bean counters wanted to go cheap on the final price.
This made SOOOOOO much of a difference! The fenders no longer flap around and at high speeds and the downforce actually pushes the front end to the pavement!
I know some of you guys have the hood buttons installed which may hold the hood down but does nothing to eleminate the build up of air underneath the fender. Mark's idea of getting the air out from the underside of the fender / reducing air drag and improving downforce on the front end is a winner in my book....not to mention it just looks so bad ass!
My only complaint is that I waited almost 2 years to do this!
