Had a great time. !!!
It was great to see some familiar faces and to meet new people! It amazes me how much these machines progress. At every rally, you see something new and unique.
This really shows how creative everyone is and how awesome our vendors are!
Even though my SS wasn't ready for the trip, I still had a really good time. A big shout out to @Oldfogey for letting me ride up there with him from AZ and to Larry and Jerry for letting me drive their machines at the Autocross and Hill Climb events.
Display MoreWow, it was one incredible trip we had. What a great event. @Turbosling and @JeffWelter, thanks for helping Ivan with two of the greatest events ever pulled off at a rally IMHO The hill climb and autocross were just fantastic. I'm about to run out of verbs. To those I met personally, or those I just passed in the night, thank you all for a great week with awesome memories. We did all 13.5 hours (960 miles) today. I'm glad I have shocks and seats that are not factory!
@slolane I can't say enough about your knowledge and kindness, and your wife is one tough cookie!
@MBMedic and @SLLE Canada It was great meeting my northern friends and putting faces with these names!
@SaltyJ It is always my pleasure to see you.
@RichArlt You are a class act, I'm glad I got to know you.
@adventure4me Great meeting a legend!
@StickerDick Thanks for the decals, and letting me check out that Honda. It kind of reminded me of the last boat I had that broke something every time I took it out. That being said, it is an original and obviously you have spent countless hours on it.
@mniron Phil, it was great talking with you and seeing your fantastic clean looking machine. The fenders didn't flap at all on the way home.
The rest of you made an impact as well, it was a great week! Thanks @ivor Nathan for working so hard to keep us all in line and on time.
Last but not least, a shout out to my brothers in blue at Avon PD without whom the best events would not have happened. Stay safe out there@texas
@Texas T It was great to meet you and put a face with a name!
How was the hill climb?
https://youtu.be/9K_CGlN5JVU Video should give you an idea of the fun factor!
Made it home safe 2360.9 miles all in the sling... no trailing for me, however, it would have been nice yesterday as it was hot going through Utah & Neveda ~115

Anita you are my hero!
@adventure4me Anita, after meeting you at SSITS I have followed your adventures with pure jealousy. You are a person that takes life by the horns and lives life to the fullest. What you have driven in the last month is more than most drive there slingshot in a few years. Safe travels my friend and enjoy the lake view.

Buns of steel...?!
My buns are wore out in this My hat is off to ya @adventure4me !!!
Made it back to central California in one piece. A big shout out to the group at Welter performance for their incredible customer service this weekend. @Jeff Welter parked his personal slingshot and took parts off of it to put in the mine to keep me running during the event. Then they topped that gesture by using their lift to look for front end damage and corrected it after I gobbled up a few cones on the hill climb. That was one strong zip tie you put on there.
@Turbosling found the time to do another alignment after the mishap.
@TravAZ help me reconnect that driver side fender and it held all the way back to California.
Thank you to @ivor, Welter Performance, @Turbosling, Wycked Hitch and the Avon PD for sponsoring, taking the time to manage the events and allowing us to do the awesome events.
I do have to say that running the Alpha turbo along with the Welter Performance 2 1/2 inch exhaust allowed me to scream up that hill. A little too fast on my second attempt.
Those that are still traveling back please be safe.
