He may be rethinking his idea of driving with the traction control off.

Has anyone else used this updated Slingshotonly Optima bracket on a 2016? Did you cut the top part of the bracket off so it doesn’t hit the fuse box? The fuse box mounts to the frame on a 2016

My 2016 came with the smaller battery and bracket. I wonder if the 2015 brackets can be used on the newer models or did Polaris put the mounting holes for the brackets in different locations?
I did check vendor websites and none seemed to offer the kit for the smaller Optima 75-25 battery at this time. Maybe time for a second hole on Slingmod’s hold down plate or a second bracket option from Slingshot Only? I would hope either vendor could still use their current bottom plate to keep their cost the same.

Charged up the Optima 75-25 with the battery tender over night, ready to ride except for the rain here.
Which bracket did you use to hold this smaller battery in place? With the shorter height and narrower width will the after market brackets work without spacers?

We plan to drive down from Modesto and it sounds like there may be a group from the Bay Area.

I cannot wait to see what Scott Frost will do for my Huskers!!

made it home after I decided to drive to Savannah, get to the track fifteen minutes before the SlingShots were going back on track and say to myself " Self, it would be a good idea to go on the track vwith no practice, no preparation and against doctors and Susi's orders"....... What possibly could go wrong?
Well after 1 warm-up lap... I spin into the inside grassy area, but no damage. So went back out onto track... Two laps later.....pushing harder than I should, the rear snaps around and I'm heading into a ditch with a culvert. It's amazing how much can go through your mind as you are barreling towards a culvert at a high rate of speed..... Things like "Damn... This is gonna hurt", "How come I had to be this stupid", "Susi is gonna Kill me!", "Oh... There are tires in the culvert, maybe this won't hurt too bad.", and then I hit the tires, flew through the air about 10 feet and landed way way softer than I should have. Some bent brackets, broken plastic.... But no really bad damage.... Drove her home and Will survey the total bike later this week. So the lesson here? Don't be a Dumbass like me.... Take track days seriously and do your prep work first.
your list of parts looks like mine after SSITR. Babbitts online was my source and they shipped fairly quick.

Attention @'Bugeater'
I just finished putting mine back together with new parts two days ago. I am going to look into this though.
-
Thanks @Painter. The front wing that I am hoping to fix says TPO on it so now to find TPO epoxy. Hopefully they make it in a mixing syringe.
-
What products are working for bonding the plastic back together? I need to reattach a plastic mounting bracket on the front wing.

I'm still researching replacement parts online. I found another bent bracket on the front last night during my first major inspection since I returned home from Co. Since the team at Welter used bulletproof zip ties on the repair job I'm still able to drive it any chance I get. I do intend on coming back next year and running the course again!! Although I think I'll let Kasey do her run first just in case I get a little crazy again.

I just put my 1st Michelin Pilot Sport A/S on. So far it the best I have bought. It was used on eBay for 150.00. Had 9/32 tread left and was like new.
let me know what PSI you settle in with. I believe I ran my last one around 27 psi and it still wore a little faster in the middle. I am thinking about trying 25 psi but I do not want to go so low it's no longer safe.
-
I really like that. Who does that belong to? I can have them make one for me or maybe buy the parts they took off to repair mine.
-
Omg. So many cones to gobble!!! I bet I could double my current record on that course. I cannot wait until the Rockies next year but I think I need to put a cattle guard on the front first.
-
I think it started a couple days earlier at the autocross where I gobbled my first two cones and felt that rush. Then when I saw the row of cones on the side of the road while driving up the hill climb I just couldn't help myself. I'm not sure how I made it through those construction zones on the way back home.
-
Here is the run that ended my day and prevented a second run for my girlfriend. Damn cones got in my way.
-
The center of my rear tire was looking a little bald after SSITR so I put another Michelin pilot sport A/S 3 +
265/35 ZR18 on yesterday. I am getting about a year out of this one. -
Here is my first run

Made it back to central California in one piece. A big shout out to the group at Welter performance for their incredible customer service this weekend. @Jeff Welter parked his personal slingshot and took parts off of it to put in the mine to keep me running during the event. Then they topped that gesture by using their lift to look for front end damage and corrected it after I gobbled up a few cones on the hill climb. That was one strong zip tie you put on there.
@Turbosling found the time to do another alignment after the mishap.
@TravAZ help me reconnect that driver side fender and it held all the way back to California.Thank you to @ivor, Welter Performance, @Turbosling, Wycked Hitch and the Avon PD for sponsoring, taking the time to manage the events and allowing us to do the awesome events.
I do have to say that running the Alpha turbo along with the Welter Performance 2 1/2 inch exhaust allowed me to scream up that hill. A little too fast on my second attempt.
Those that are still traveling back please be safe.
