Where Did You Take Your Slingshot Today?

Did a couple of rides. Just got home after hitting a down pour. Couldn't see where the road was. Lexani's worked good except when driving thru huge puddles. Like most tires.

I'll be needing new tires just down the road. Most likely looking to get Lexani LX-Twenty 275/35ZR20.

Just got out for a bit... not too far today... Went to Golden Gate Canyon road, had lunch in Nederland. (was gonna stop at the stage Stop in Rollinsville but it was closed) Central City and just some back roads home... Beautiful day in the mountains... 80's up there, 90's down here. Sorry, no pictures today.

Just to hot to ride. Mid 90s and humidity in the upper 80s. I don't even like going outside. I see the young guys playing basketball in the sun and think I remember being that young once.

No pics, did the 156 mile loop via Mt Washington NH. Just a gorgeous day, 81 degrees no humidity. Sitting watching a recorded Mecum auction. Probably go for the 15 mile ice cream ride later on. That turns into 80 miles.

First time out since my hospital stay. Went to see the Doctor ... he said take it easy but have fun and than looked out the window at the Slingshot...and said that's what I mean.
Than out to do a couple of estimates.

take it easy but have fun
That’s pretty much the definition of owning a Slingshot.

Sure hope it was for a Biden cone and you weren't bring home a half gallon. 29 miles back with a 1/2 gallon of ice cream would be a container of rich milk by the time you got home. Unless it was during one of your typical Maine winters

only went to Mt. Washington once this year, great area to ride

80 mile ice cream ride. Boy, I'm going to be afraid to step on the scale after the stand closes for the season!

You didn't run into Biden getting his daily ice cream cone did you?

Looking at that Ice Cream store reminds me of Kimball Farms in Westford, MA. My then-Boss at the US Army Intelligence Center & School at Ft Devens introduced us to Kimball Farm the Summer of 1977. He liked to go with several other people and would place somebody in each line until he figured out which server offered the largest serving and then would make the entire order from that server. I took my parents there and bought each of them a banana split. They each ate their fill and between the two of them had around 1 qt of ice cream left! Weekend evenings, the local police had to have several cops there directing traffic the store did so much business. I was pleased when I just searched Google and learned they now have 4 stores!

I didn’t make a dent in my banana split
Best ice cream ever

Just a little ride about 100 miles or so to visit the Mobile Vietnam Memorial Wall.. all for nothing.... One out of every 10 Americans who served in Vietnam was a casualty. 58,148 were killed and 304,000 wounded out of 2.7 million who served. Although the percent that died is similar to other wars, amputations or crippling wounds were 300 percent higher than in World War II. 75,000 Vietnam veterans are severely disabled. (The file of the wall is too large to upload....)

I had the honor of guarding the traveling wall overnight some 23 years ago. It was a moving & humbling experience to say the least.
