There are plenty of airbags (several million) being exchanged under massive recalls. Maybe we just add some disarmed ones and call it a day .
And some are merely passengers!

Tripod has his favorite airbags ready to deploy on impact
Bet I passed 20 cops since I been in Nashville and nothing until this AM. Got a warning for no helmet - officer was real nice and ended up having a 30 minute bullshit session. Wear your skid lid in Tennessee!!
So a google search of NC General Statutes now shows SECTION 12.5.(a) G.S. 20-4.01(27)a to read "Autocycle.– A three-wheeled motorcycle that has a steering wheel,pedals, seat safety belts for each occupant, antilock brakes, completely or partially enclosed seating that does not require the operator to straddle or sit astride, and is otherwise manufactured to comply withfederal safety requirements for motorcycles. So, does this solve the NC helmet dilemma?
Here ya go;

The auto cycle law went into effect last June 2016 for Slingshot only. It's just being revised this year.
Folks: It has passed the NC House but not the Senate yet and signed by the Govenor. In my estimation, do not look for it to be passed this year.
How does what I posted concerning NC G.S. 20-4.27 not end the Slingshot helmet debate? Does it not clearly define a Slingshot an autocycle? What am i missing?

The Senate hasn't voted on the bill, and the governor hasn't signed it. Plus as written, it would take effect on July 1, 2017. Brain cages will be required this year in Maggie Valley I guess
What i posted came straight from the NC enacted legislation website http://www.ncleg.net/enactedle…hapter_20/gs_20-4.01.html , its not a pending action.

Nevermind, i see that while its considered an autocycle by this statute, the statute regulating helmet use still applies the "enclosed seating" requirement for no helmet. Thanks for you input!

It would be be pretty cool if it passes but don't count on it. The insurance lobby is pretty strong and all politicians have their hands out. No different from the guy standing by the road with a sign saying "Vet. Served at Guantanamo Offensive"
